• • Nex is seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior Game Environment Artist to join our innovative Metaverse Cell team. This role is pivotal in shaping the visual landscape of our interactive experiences, contributing directly to the joy and engagement of families rediscovering movement through play. You will be instrumental in bringing virtual worlds to life, ensuring they are not only visually stunning but also performant and conducive to engaging gameplay.
• • As a Senior Game Environment Artist, you will embark on a comprehensive journey from initial concept to final implementation within our game engine. This involves crafting all aspects of 3D environments, including intricate architecture, detailed props, and immersive set dressing. Your work will directly influence the player's perception and interaction with our game worlds, making visual quality, performance optimization, and gameplay readability paramount.
• • You will be a key player in defining and maintaining the artistic vision for our environments. This requires close collaboration with the Art Director, Concept Artists, and Technical Artists to ensure a cohesive and compelling aesthetic. Your ability to translate artistic direction into tangible, high-quality assets will be crucial.
• • A significant part of your role will involve building, optimizing, and maintaining 3D assets with a keen eye on real-time performance. This means balancing breathtaking visual fidelity with the technical constraints of our platform, ensuring smooth and enjoyable gameplay experiences for all users.
• • You will be responsible for assembling, lighting, and implementing these environments within the Unity game engine. This hands-on integration work ensures that the artistic vision is realized effectively in the final product. Experience with Unity is essential, though experience with Unreal Engine will be considered transferable.
• • Beyond individual contribution, you will act as a mentor and knowledge base for other artists on the team. Providing constructive feedback, sharing best practices, and supporting the growth of junior artists are integral aspects of this senior role. You will help establish and uphold visual benchmarks and quality standards across the team.
• • You will actively contribute to the evolution of our art pipelines. This includes identifying areas for improvement, helping to define new workflows, and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and quality. Your insights into environment art workflows, including modular asset creation and optimization, will be highly valued.
