Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As a Senior Global UX Writer specializing in Content Systems and Taxonomy at Wellhub, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and scaling the structural language system that underpins our revolutionary workplace wellness platform. This is a unique opportunity to move beyond traditional UX writing and delve into the foundational elements of how content is organized, governed, and presented across a global user base.
- • You will be instrumental in designing and evolving our classification systems, defining how diverse offerings such as activities, plans, and benefits are logically grouped. This strategic work will directly shape how users discover and engage with content, ensuring intuitive navigation and a seamless user experience. For instance, you will determine whether 'Yoga' should be categorized under 'Live Classes,' 'Emotional Health,' or potentially both, grounding these decisions in a deep understanding of user mental models and robust business logic.
- • A core responsibility will be designing the grouping logic that powers critical product features, including search results, activity lists, filters, app descriptions, and indexing systems. Your work will ensure consistency and scalability across all touchpoints, leveraging a taxonomist's meticulous approach to content organization.
- • You will establish and govern our terminology system, creating a definitive single source of truth for business-critical terms. This involves clearly differentiating concepts (e.g., 'Check-in' versus 'Booking') to eliminate ambiguity and ensure consistent communication across Product, Marketing, Support, and Operations teams.
- • Designing a taxonomy that is both globally scalable and locally adaptable is paramount. You will ensure that terminology structures can expand across international markets while accommodating regional variations (e.g., recognizing that an 'Academy' in one market might function as a 'Gym' in another), all without compromising UI logic or impeding development velocity.
- • You will own the localization-ready content framework, ensuring that English source copy is culturally neutral, structurally resilient, and optimized for efficient translation workflows. This includes defining string structures, variable logic (e.g., placeholders), and handling pluralization correctly to minimize post-translation issues.
- • A key aspect of this role involves anticipating and solving interface adaptability challenges. You will partner closely with Design and Engineering teams to ensure that UI components and content strings can gracefully accommodate language expansion and contraction across various markets and character sets.
- • You will define scalable messaging architecture frameworks, developing modular templates for essential communications such as push notifications, system messages, and transactional emails. These frameworks will be designed to respect time zones, cultural nuances, and user behavioral context, ensuring relevance and impact.
- • Collaboration is central to this role. You will partner with Localization, Design, and Engineering teams to transition manual content workflows into scalable, content-as-code systems. This initiative aims to establish and maintain a reliable single source of truth for all product content.
- • You will proactively document and standardize content patterns across different teams, effectively reducing design debt and preventing the emergence of inconsistencies before they can scale across the platform.
- • Connecting content architecture initiatives directly to company OKRs is crucial. You will drive measurable improvements in key areas such as content discoverability, clarity, brand equity, and conversion rates, demonstrating the tangible business value of your work.
- • Leveraging UX research, analytics, and benchmarking data will be essential to inform your taxonomy decisions, terminology governance, and messaging system designs, ensuring that all structural content decisions are data-driven and user-centric.
- • Beyond the technical aspects, you will embody Wellhub's mission by genuinely caring for your own wellbeing and that of your colleagues. You will champion wellbeing within the workplace, fostering a supportive environment where everyone feels empowered to prioritize self-care, take necessary time off, and achieve work-life wellness.
