📋 Description

• Architect and implement highly scalable, fault-tolerant software solutions for transmitting millions of healthcare messages monthly across diverse formats and protocols.
• Design and evolve system architectures to accommodate complex, clearinghouse-specific EDI and API data mappings for healthcare interoperability.
• Implement advanced error handling, logging, and retry mechanisms within asynchronous workflows to ensure data integrity and reliability in high-volume transactions.
• Collaborate directly with external clearinghouse partners to debug and troubleshoot non-standard integration systems and resolve data transmission issues.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant EDI protocols and federal healthcare standards, including designing and auditing systems for HIPAA security and privacy regulations.
• Work closely with infrastructure and product engineering teams to deploy new solutions and automate existing processes for healthcare data interchange.
• Integrate new technologies and frameworks into the platform while documenting all features, data flows, and system processes.
• Adapt and transition between programming languages and technologies as required to support evolving integration needs.
• Develop and maintain APIs for secure, efficient data exchange between Prompt’s B2B SaaS platform and external healthcare systems.
• Support active EDI programs by handling ANSI EDI transactions including 837, 277, 999, and 835.
• Apply expertise in healthcare data standards such as HL7 and FHIR to enable seamless interoperability with partner systems.
• Maintain rigorous adherence to federal healthcare regulations while optimizing system performance and scalability.
• Participate in cross-functional collaboration to align integration solutions with product roadmap and customer requirements.
• Contribute to the digital transformation of a paper-heavy outpatient therapy industry by enabling secure, automated data exchange.
• Ensure systems are built to handle the unique compliance, security, and reliability demands of the healthcare sector.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of proven experience in developing robust software solutions, preferably within the healthcare sector
• Strong fundamental skills in building and integrating APIs
• Demonstrated skills and experience in scaling API systems in a cost-effective manner
• Proficiency in PHP or Python (or a comparable programming language), with a willingness to learn new languages as needed
• Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new programming languages and manage transitions effectively
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
