- • As a Senior HR Specialist based in Japan, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive and independent HR operational support across the entire employee lifecycle. You will serve as a trusted advisor and key resource for HR Business Partners and People Operations teams, ensuring the delivery of efficient, compliant, and exceptional HR services.
- • Your role will involve managing a wide array of complex HR processes, including but not limited to, new hire onboarding, offboarding procedures, conducting employee relations investigations, coordinating recruitment efforts, and administering HRIS data. A primary focus will be on ensuring a positive employee experience while strictly adhering to company policies and legal requirements.
- • You will take the lead on significant HR projects, champion compliance initiatives, and coordinate essential facilities management activities. Your contributions will be vital in building organizational capability and maintaining effective workplace operations that are strategically aligned with business objectives.
- • A key responsibility will be to lead and continuously improve our new hire onboarding programs. This involves designing engaging orientation experiences that not only accelerate integration into the company but also effectively introduce our unique culture, ensuring new employees are equipped with all necessary resources and knowledge to achieve success from day one.
- • You will independently manage the end-to-end recruitment process. This includes meticulously screening resumes, coordinating interviews, assessing candidates, preparing employment offers, and managing all associated hiring documentation. A strong partnership with hiring managers will be crucial to achieve high-quality talent acquisition outcomes.
- • You will execute comprehensive People Operations support, taking full ownership of employee lifecycle processes. This encompasses onboarding, offboarding, maintaining HRIS data integrity, processing employment verifications, managing leave administration, and coordinating benefits. Accuracy in record-keeping and the ability to resolve complex scenarios are paramount.
- • Handling confidential employee relations matters independently is a critical aspect of this role. You will conduct thorough workplace investigations, meticulously document findings, recommend appropriate corrective actions, support the implementation of performance improvement plans, and manage termination processes in close partnership with HR Business Partners and the Legal department.
- • You will lead crucial compliance initiatives. This includes conducting internal HR audits, managing regulatory reporting, updating the employee handbook, developing new policies, and implementing training programs to ensure the organization remains in strict adherence to all relevant employment laws, industry standards, and best practices.
- • A significant part of your role will be to drive the optimization of HR workflows across various cross-functional teams, including Recruiting, Finance, Legal, and IT. This involves analyzing process inefficiencies, designing improved workflows, and implementing operational enhancements that demonstrably improve service delivery and efficiency.
- • You will independently manage immigration and global mobility processes. This requires close coordination with legal counsel, government agencies, and employees to facilitate visa applications, work authorization renewals, relocation support, and the logistics of international assignments.
- • You will lead People Operations initiatives focused on enhancing the employee experience. This includes developing and executing employee engagement surveys, organizing company events, implementing recognition programs, and managing organizational change implementations that effectively strengthen our culture and support overarching business objectives.
- • You will serve as the primary point of contact for a wide range of employee inquiries. This involves interpreting policy applications, providing expert guidance on leave and benefits matters, and exercising sound judgment on when to escalate issues to senior HR leadership.
- • You will lead research projects and conduct advanced HR data analysis to identify key trends, support strategic workforce planning, develop evidence-based recommendations, and contribute significantly to the creation of new HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- • You will also oversee facilities operations, including workspace planning, managing vendor relationships, implementing workplace safety programs, coordinating office maintenance, optimizing space utilization, and contributing to real estate projects to ensure functional, safe, and compliant work environments.
- • You will leverage AI tools and techniques to enhance work efficiency and optimize business operations by automating routine tasks, improving accuracy, saving time, and minimizing errors. Furthermore, you will utilize AI-driven insights to refine decision-making, elevate customer experience, and boost team productivity, ensuring its application provides measurable value and drives innovation.
