• • As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at DraftKings Inc., you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and operating the foundational infrastructure that underpins all of our innovative products. This position is strategically positioned at the critical nexus of performance, unwavering reliability, and rapid development velocity, ensuring that DraftKings can scale effectively and efficiently in a dynamic market.
• • You will be instrumental in crafting robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions, leveraging tools like Terraform and Chef to automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of our cloud and on-premise environments. This approach ensures consistency, repeatability, and scalability across our entire infrastructure footprint.
• • A core responsibility will be to embed comprehensive observability into every facet of our systems. This involves driving sophisticated monitoring, proactive alerting, and detailed logging strategies. The ultimate goal is to gain deep insights into system behavior, enabling us to meet and exceed application Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and maintain the highest levels of overall system reliability.
• • You will be tasked with developing advanced deployment platforms and internal tooling. These self-service capabilities are designed to empower our engineering teams, enabling them to accelerate their development cycles and deploy features rapidly while strictly adhering to established governance frameworks and maintaining operational excellence.
• • A key aspect of this role involves defining and standardizing critical infrastructure patterns, deployment strategies, and configuration best practices. These standards will be disseminated across our high-growth engineering organization, fostering a culture of consistency and efficiency.
• • You will lead by example, serving as a technical mentor to junior engineers, actively shaping the evolution of our infrastructure standards, and influencing critical cross-functional technical decisions. Your leadership will be crucial in elevating the team's capabilities and driving strategic initiatives.
• • Participation in an on-call rotation is a requirement, where you will be expected to lead incident response efforts. This includes conducting thorough root cause analyses (RCAs) and developing and implementing effective long-term remediation strategies to prevent recurrence.
