Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Design and build agentic workflows for infrastructure operations including automated incident response, intelligent observability, and support ticket triaging using AI-powered tooling.
- • Develop and maintain MCP servers that connect disparate infrastructure systems to enable seamless automation and communication between services.
- • Own the security surface of all agentic tools and workflows, assessing exposure risks and implementing hardening measures for AI-integrated infrastructure components.
- • Build internal tools and services that directly improve engineering team velocity, focusing on production-grade software rather than glue scripts or one-off scripts.
- • Prototype infrastructure solutions rapidly using AI-assisted development workflows, integrating tools like Claude and other LLM-based assistants into daily engineering practices.
- • Collaborate as a peer with product engineers, operating as a core engineering function rather than a support or ops team.
- • Design, run, and evolve MUBI’s primary platform: EKS Kubernetes clusters that host all company services.
- • Build, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ArgoCD, Helm, and Kustomize to ensure reliable and repeatable deployments.
- • Operate and extend MUBI’s in-house bare-metal CDN infrastructure across multiple global locations, managing physical server deployments and network configurations.
- • Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and Chef for infrastructure-as-code provisioning and configuration management.
- • Develop and maintain Kubernetes operators and controllers to automate complex platform workflows and reduce manual intervention.
- • Design and operate event-driven architectures using Kafka for streaming data pipelines and system integrations.
- • Maintain and enhance observability systems including ELK Stack, Prometheus with Thanos, Grafana, and Datadog to ensure visibility into system health and performance.
- • Define, own, and uphold SLOs for critical services, ensuring availability and reliability targets are met and continuously improved.
- • Automate all repetitive, high-friction tasks in infrastructure operations, eliminating toil in alignment with SRE principles.
- • Write production-quality code across multiple languages, prioritizing strong software engineering fundamentals over specific language proficiency.
- • Work in a hybrid model based in London, with 2–3 days per week in-office; remote work may be considered for exceptional candidates outside London.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years in infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps
- • Strong software engineering skills — built and shipped applications/tools in infrastructure space, not just configured existing systems
- • Deep Kubernetes experience — understanding internals beyond kubectl apply
- • Deep Linux and networking knowledge — comfortable debugging and automating bare-metal servers
- • Security-minded approach, especially regarding AI and agentic tool exposure surfaces
- • Technical leadership experience — architecting solutions and mentoring engineers
🏖️ Benefits
- • Hybrid work model with 2–3 days per week in London office
- • Remote work consideration for strong candidates outside London
- • Direct impact on global film distribution and cinema accessibility
- • High autonomy in a small, skilled engineering team
- • Opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI-powered infrastructure tooling (Claude, MCP, agentic workflows)
- • Commitment to equal opportunity and inclusive hiring practices
