📋 Description
- • Architect and implement the distributed infrastructure powering Nexus’s Layer 1 blockchain and high-performance decentralized exchange (DEX).
- • Optimize consensus and transaction pipelines for speed, determinism, fairness, and low-latency performance to support mission-critical financial workloads.
- • Build and maintain secure, production-grade infrastructure that meets enterprise-grade reliability and performance standards for public testnet and mainnet environments.
- • Design and operate high-availability, fault-tolerant systems across cloud and distributed environments, ensuring resilience under high transaction volumes.
- • Develop and enhance observability systems using metrics, tracing, and logging frameworks such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry to monitor system health and performance.
- • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation to automate provisioning and configuration of cloud resources.
- • Leverage deep expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) to manage networking, compute, security, and distributed workloads effectively.
- • Collaborate closely with product, protocol, and cryptography teams to align infrastructure design with protocol-level requirements and security constraints.
- • Establish best practices for reliability, performance engineering, and secure operations across the engineering organization.
- • Ensure infrastructure enables developer workflows that allow onboarding to first transaction in less than 10 minutes.
- • Achieve and maintain sub-second transaction finality and low-latency execution comparable to centralized trading systems while preserving decentralization.
- • Meet or exceed high-frequency trading benchmarks through continuous performance tuning and system optimization.
- • Contribute to an engineering culture that prioritizes deep technical work, code quality, and scalable systems without compromising reliability.
- • Operate remotely from Argentina or broader Latin America as part of a cross-continental team focused on building verifiable finance infrastructure.
- • Support the long-term correctness, performance, and global scalability of primitives and systems underpinning Nexus’s financial ecosystem.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6–10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in infrastructure or distributed systems roles.
- • Strong programming experience in Rust (preferred), Go, or another systems language.
- • Deep expertise in low-latency, high-throughput, or distributed systems (e.g., HFT, exchanges, runtimes, consensus systems).
- • Hands-on experience with container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- • Experience building and maintaining observability systems using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar tools.
- • Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
- • Deep knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including networking, compute, security, and distributed workloads.
- • Ability to design and operate secure, fault-tolerant, production-grade infrastructure.
- • Excellent written and spoken Business English.
