- • Formulate analytical questions to uncover root causes and trends in inventory performance, synthesizing complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that guide strategic decisions and coach teammates in accurate data interpretation.
- • Anticipate the impact of market shifts, product updates, and supplier changes on inventory quality and performance, influencing product and tooling roadmaps to establish technical standards and governance frameworks that scale across regions.
- • Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on automation, monitoring, and workflow optimization that span multiple teams, owning the narrative for senior stakeholders by linking operational outcomes directly to business objectives.
- • Champion AI-first thinking by identifying manual processes ripe for AI-driven redesign, coaching peers on AI adoption, and translating AI capabilities into measurable improvements in inventory accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- • Build and refine governance models and operational frameworks that prevent recurring issues rather than merely reacting to them, ensuring consistency and quality across global inventory content.
- • Drive the strategic evolution of the inventory domain by aligning operational systems with company-wide goals, ensuring content accuracy, reliability, and high quality across all travel and spend platforms.
- • Mentor and elevate team members through informal leadership, raising performance standards without formal managerial authority, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
- • Communicate progress, risks, and strategic trade-offs to senior leadership with transparency, clarity, and data-backed narratives that command credibility and drive alignment.
- • Collaborate across product, engineering, and supplier teams to ensure seamless integration of inventory content, APIs, and booking infrastructure, maintaining system integrity and performance.
- • Apply deep expertise in GDS systems, supplier content flows, and booking infrastructure to anticipate ecosystem-wide ripple effects from changes and proactively mitigate risks to inventory quality.
- • Maintain a relentless focus on reducing shadow work by automating manual tasks and optimizing workflows, contributing to the company’s mission of eliminating 7 hours of lost productivity per employee weekly.
- • Represent the Inventory Operations team in cross-departmental discussions, ensuring operational realities inform product development and tooling investments.
- • Continuously evaluate and refine operational metrics and KPIs to ensure they accurately reflect inventory health and team performance.
- • Ensure all operational improvements are documented, repeatable, and transferable across international markets and teams.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4–6 years of experience in operations, travel technology, or supplier management with a track record of increasing scope and cross-functional impact
- • Expert knowledge of inventory systems, GDS, APIs, supplier content flows, and booking infrastructure
- • Proven ability to design scalable frameworks and governance models that prevent recurring issues
- • Experience mentoring others and raising team performance without formal management responsibility
- • Strong executive communication skills with ability to craft data-backed narratives for senior stakeholders
- • Demonstrated strategic thinking with ability to connect operational work to business outcomes and make confident trade-offs
