- • Develop and maintain high-performance iOS applications used by law enforcement, military, and forensic investigators to extract and analyze digital evidence from smartphones, tablets, and IoT devices.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, backend engineers, and UX designers to define, design, and ship new features that meet strict forensic accuracy and compliance standards.
- • Architect and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable codebases using Swift and Objective-C, adhering to Apple’s latest iOS guidelines and best practices.
- • Optimize application performance for resource-constrained environments, ensuring efficient memory usage, fast data processing, and minimal battery drain during forensic data acquisition.
- • Integrate and extend third-party forensic libraries and APIs to support extraction of data from encrypted and locked devices across multiple iOS versions and hardware models.
- • Conduct rigorous testing of iOS applications in real-world forensic scenarios, including edge cases involving corrupted data, jailbroken devices, and evolving iOS security restrictions.
- • Participate in code reviews, pair programming sessions, and technical design discussions to ensure code quality, consistency, and knowledge sharing across the engineering team.
- • Stay current with Apple’s evolving iOS frameworks, security updates, and privacy policies to proactively adapt the product to new device capabilities and legal compliance requirements.
- • Document technical specifications, API integrations, and forensic data extraction methodologies for internal teams and customer-facing technical support.
- • Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues reported by global customers, often under time-sensitive conditions during active investigations.
- • Contribute to the continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and deployment processes to ensure rapid, reliable releases without compromising forensic integrity.
- • Engage with customer feedback and forensic use cases to prioritize feature development that directly impacts investigative efficiency and evidentiary reliability.
- • Mentor junior iOS developers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance to foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- • Work closely with the QA and compliance teams to ensure all software meets forensic-grade standards for chain-of-custody, data integrity, and court-admissible evidence handling.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of professional iOS development experience with Swift and Objective-C
- • Proven track record of shipping complex, high-performance iOS applications to production
- • Deep understanding of iOS security architecture, including sandboxing, encryption, and entitlements
- • Experience working with low-level data extraction, file system analysis, or forensic data processing
- • Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, multithreading, and asynchronous programming
- • Familiarity with iOS debugging tools (Xcode Debugger, Instruments, Console)
