📋 Description

• Senior Java Software Engineer role focused on building and maintaining high-performance travel search and booking systems for KAYAK, part of Booking Holdings, serving millions of users globally.
• Optimize search and booking logic for global corporate clients, build and maintain integrations with over 200 travel partners including airlines, hotels, and rental car providers via APIs.
• Take full ownership of feature development from concept to deployment, ensuring code quality, performance, and modularity in the K4B (KAYAK for Business) platform.
• Collaborate in a high-powered team in Berlin (hybrid: 3+ days/week office) to support scalable, reusable architecture as KAYAK expands its enterprise travel offerings.
• Work within a culture of innovation at a travel industry leader that values ownership, technical excellence, and inclusive growth.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
• 4+ years of professional experience in Java development
• Hands-on experience with Spring/Spring Boot and relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis)
• Strong English communication skills
• Ability to design and implement engineering initiatives with minimal guidance
• Prior experience in travel domain, airline distribution (GDS/NDC), or B2B systems (e.g., SCIM, SAML/OAuth, SSO, HRIS integrations) is beneficial
