- • Own the design, execution, and deployment of shared multiplatform code and features using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) and Jetpack Compose for Android and iOS applications.
- • Lead code quality initiatives, application performance tuning, and architectural scalability across mobile platforms within an agile, cross-functional ShapeUp squad.
- • Mentor engineering peers through code reviews and pair programming to elevate team-wide engineering excellence and adherence to clean architecture standards.
- • Collaborate directly with Product Owners and Designers to define technical scopes, run product experiments, and build intuitive, customer-centric mobile experiences for e-grocery services.
- • Implement and optimize continuous delivery workflows and CI/CD pipelines using Firebase and GitLab to ensure reliable, frequent releases across European markets.
- • Integrate and maintain dependency injection frameworks such as Koin and network libraries including Retrofit and Ktor within multiplatform codebases.
- • Ensure high-quality code through robust automated unit testing practices across both Android and shared KMP modules.
- • Apply AI tools and technologies on a daily basis to enhance development efficiency and product outcomes.
- • Minimize platform architectural complexity by aligning frontend, mobile, and backend engineering teams around unified business logic and shared components.
- • Contribute to engineering process improvements, technical debt reduction, and adoption of pragmatic solutions that deliver customer value without over-engineering.
- • Support the end-to-end development lifecycle of native Android and iOS apps serving over one million customers across Czechia, Hungary, Austria, Germany, and Romania.
- • Maintain and evolve the mobile application architecture to support scalability, sustainability, and seamless integration with Rohlik’s logistics and e-grocery backend systems.
- • Champion customer-centric innovation by translating user needs into technical requirements that improve the online grocery shopping experience.
- • Work within a cross-functional team structure that emphasizes collaboration, rapid iteration, and high-performance delivery in a fast-growing European tech environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of professional engineering experience developing commercial Android applications
- • Proficient expertise in Kotlin, Android Architecture Components, Coroutines, Flow, and Jetpack Compose
- • Strong track record of maintaining high-quality code through robust automated unit testing
- • Hands-on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP)
- • Pragmatic engineering mindset focused on delivering value without over-engineering solutions
- • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to operate successfully within cross-functional teams
