Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end revenue recognition cycle for a high-growth SaaS company, ensuring every dollar is recorded accurately under ASC 606 and reflected in the books within a tight 5-day monthly close.
- • Review and approve every customer contract, sales order, and revenue arrangement in Salesforce and NetSuite, spotting prospective modifications, linked contracts, and manual merges before they hit the general ledger.
- • Prepare and own the monthly unbilled receivables, deferred revenue schedules, and reconciliations for multiple global subsidiaries, turning complex multi-element arrangements into clear, auditable entries.
- • Post monthly revenue journal entries, perform rigorous month-over-month customer cohort analyses, and refresh the fiscal-year revenue report that leadership relies on for board decks and investor calls.
- • Continuously operationalize and refine revenue processes—identifying gaps, designing controls, and automating repetitive tasks—to keep pace with a product portfolio that spans blockchain data, SaaS subscriptions, and usage-based pricing.
- • Partner shoulder-to-shoulder with Sales, Legal, and FP&A to review deal structures in real time, translating red-lined contracts into compliant revenue treatments and flagging any terms that could introduce risk or delay.
- • Serve as the go-to revenue subject-matter expert during quarterly audits and SOX reviews, preparing PBC schedules, walkthroughs, and support files that satisfy both external auditors and internal controls teams.
- • Drive system enhancements in NetSuite ARM, Salesforce CPQ, Floqast, and Rocketlane—writing user stories, testing releases, and training stakeholders so new capabilities actually stick and scale.
- • Maintain the authoritative revenue accounting policy library, updating memos, flowcharts, and process narratives whenever product offerings, go-to-market motions, or regulatory guidance evolve.
- • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring junior accountants, leading lunch-and-learns on ASC 606 hot topics, and measuring KPIs such as close-cycle time, automation coverage, and error rates.
- • Translate complex blockchain and data-licensing arrangements into clear, defensible revenue conclusions, ensuring the company can confidently stand behind every disclosure in its 10-K and 10-Q filings.
- • Stay ahead of emerging GAAP, SEC, and FASB developments—distilling technical pronouncements into practical playbooks that keep Chainalysis compliant and competitive in a rapidly changing landscape.
