- • Senior Lead Engineer role focused on building a national-scale platform for the Teamship program, which delivers real-world, career-relevant learning experiences to students through work-based learning with employer challenges.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable, secure software using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and AWS Serverless; leading Agile ceremonies and peer reviews; resolving production issues; collaborating with Product and Design teams on feature estimates and sprint planning; and mentoring team members while upholding engineering standards.
- • The team is part of College Board’s Technology Division, working on the newly acquired Teamship initiative to expand access to durable skills like collaboration, problem-solving, and communication for over 7 million students annually, combining College Board’s reach with Teamship’s proven work-based learning model.
- • In this role, you will shape technical strategy, define high-quality engineering practices, mentor engineers, lead code and design reviews, and drive the evolution of a platform that impacts students and employers nationwide, gaining leadership experience in a mission-driven, high-impact edtech initiative.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of production-level software development experience managing the full lifecycle of features
- • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and AWS Serverless technologies
- • Ability to travel 3-5 times per year to NYC or Reston, VA office and authorization to work in the United States
