Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end user experience for multiple strategic product lines across GoDaddy’s India market, translating complex business goals into elegant, conversion-focused design solutions that serve millions of entrepreneurs and small-business owners.
- • Lead and mentor a distributed team of 5–8 UX designers, researchers, and content strategists, setting quality standards, running design critiques, and fostering a culture of experimentation, psychological safety, and continuous learning.
- • Drive the India-specific design vision by synthesising local market insights, regulatory constraints, payment behaviours, and linguistic nuances into a scalable design system that still feels unmistakably “GoDaddy” to global users.
- • Partner daily with Product Management, Engineering, Data Science, and Marketing to define OKRs, prioritise features, and ship high-impact releases every 4–6 weeks; your prototypes and usability findings will directly influence sprint-level decisions and quarterly roadmaps.
- • Champion accessibility and inclusive design practices, ensuring WCAG 2.2 compliance and culturally relevant iconography, colour palettes, and interaction patterns that resonate with India’s diverse user base—from tech-savvy metro founders to first-time rural sellers.
- • Establish and evolve a robust research practice: plan and conduct contextual interviews, diary studies, A/B tests, and unmoderated usability sessions in Hindi, English, and regional languages; translate insights into actionable design iterations that move core metrics like activation, retention, and ARPU.
- • Create and maintain a living design system in Figma, documenting components, tokens, and interaction specs so engineering teams can ship pixel-perfect experiences across Web, Android, and iOS without redundant rework.
- • Present design strategy and key learnings to executive stakeholders, including the VP of UX and India Country Manager, translating qualitative stories and quantitative data into clear, persuasive narratives that secure funding and headcount for future initiatives.
- • Influence the broader GoDaddy design community by contributing to our global DesignOps playbook, speaking at internal design summits, and publishing case studies that raise the bar for craft across all regions.
- • Stay ahead of emerging UX trends—AI-driven personalisation, voice interfaces, vernacular typography, and zero-UI flows—running quarterly “future-casting” workshops that keep our product roadmap three steps ahead of the competition.
- • Balance strategic vision with hands-on execution: you’ll still spend at least 40 % of your time deep in Figma, Principle, or Framer crafting high-fidelity prototypes that engineers can reference line-by-line during implementation.
- • Foster cross-functional empathy by embedding with customer-success and support teams twice a quarter, listening to live calls and reading NPS verbatims to ensure every design decision reduces friction and increases customer delight.
- • Own the success metrics for your domain—task-completion rates, time-to-value, CSAT, and revenue uplift—publishing monthly dashboards that make the ROI of great design visible to every corner of the business.
