• • As a Senior Legal Counsel (Product & Commercial) at Voicemod, you will play a pivotal role in scaling the company's legal infrastructure to support its ambitious growth trajectory. This position is integral to enabling Voicemod's expansion of its innovative product offerings, forging strategic partnerships, and extending its global reach. You will serve as a crucial business partner, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Marketing, Partnerships, and Operations. Your expertise will be instrumental in facilitating swift decision-making processes while diligently managing and mitigating legal and compliance risks. • • A core responsibility of this role involves owning and driving the lifecycle of commercial agreements. This includes, but is not limited to, vendor contracts, marketing agreements, influencer collaborations, and various other essential business contracts. You will be responsible for ensuring these agreements are robust, legally sound, and aligned with Voicemod's strategic objectives.
• • You will provide critical support for complex negotiations and high-stakes strategic initiatives. This encompasses a wide range of activities such as structuring and finalizing technology partnerships, overseeing integration agreements, managing preload arrangements, and identifying and capitalizing on other significant growth opportunities. This work will be conducted in close collaboration with the Head of Legal, ensuring a cohesive and effective legal strategy.
• • A key aspect of your role will be partnering directly with the Product and Engineering teams. You will proactively assess legal risks associated with new product features, upcoming launches, and novel use cases, particularly those involving voice technology and AI-powered experiences. Your guidance will be essential in navigating the legal landscape of cutting-edge technology.
• • You will contribute significantly to key legal workstreams, with a focus on intellectual property (IP), data protection, and overall compliance. This will involve coordinating effectively with external counsel when necessary, and translating complex legal advice into clear, actionable steps for various business units, ensuring practical implementation.
• • A significant part of your contribution will be in building and refining the legal foundations that enable scalability. This includes developing and maintaining standardized templates, comprehensive playbooks, clear internal guidelines, and establishing "safe frameworks" that empower teams to operate with confidence and within legal boundaries.
• • You will support Voicemod's international expansion efforts by conducting thorough risk assessments based on publicly available information. Your insights will be crucial in determining the necessity and timing of engaging local counsel in different jurisdictions.
• • Fostering a collaborative environment is paramount. You will work cross-functionally to contribute to a culture characterized by trust, ownership, and pragmatism, ensuring that the legal function is perceived as a supportive and enabling partner to the business.
• • Bonus points will be awarded for experience with technology partnerships, including integrations, SDKs, preloads, and distribution agreements. Familiarity with consumer-facing products, digital content, and platform topics such as content moderation, copyright, and user-generated content will be highly valued.
• • Experience supporting AI-related projects, including aspects of data sourcing, model development constraints, and responsible product decision-making, is also a significant advantage. Furthermore, experience navigating multi-jurisdictional legal matters, particularly with an EU/US perspective, and any knowledge of Spanish legal nuances, would be beneficial.
