• • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of machine-learning models that power Groupon’s core marketplace—from ideation and data acquisition to training, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement—ensuring 16 million active customers and 1 million merchant partners see the most relevant deals at the right moment.
• • Architect scalable, fault-tolerant ML pipelines that ingest billions of behavioral, transactional, and merchant signals daily, transforming raw data into high-value features for ranking, recommendation, pricing, and fraud-detection systems.
• • Lead cross-functional squads of data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers to translate ambiguous business goals into crisp ML problem statements, measurable KPIs, and production-grade solutions that directly lift conversion, retention, and merchant revenue.
• • Design and implement online experimentation frameworks (A/B, multi-armed bandits, causal inference) that let us iterate weekly on ranking algorithms, promotional strategies, and personalization engines while rigorously quantifying impact.
• • Champion MLOps best practices—CI/CD for models, feature stores, automated retraining, drift detection, and real-time inference—reducing model deployment time from weeks to hours and ensuring 99.9% uptime across global traffic spikes.
