• • As the Sr. Manager, Cloud Infrastructure at PAR Technology Corporation, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing our global cloud strategy. This is a critical, hands-on leadership role where you will guide a talented team of local cloud administrators in Gurugram, ensuring the robust support and continuous evolution of the infrastructure that underpins our cutting-edge SaaS products. You will be a key player in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adept at balancing strategic engineering initiatives with effective people management.
• • Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our cloud and on-premises environments. This involves overseeing a "follow-the-sun" support model, requiring seamless collaboration across different time zones and a proactive approach to maintaining operational excellence. You will be expected to lead and mentor your team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and shared responsibility.
• • A significant aspect of this role involves driving automation across our infrastructure. You will leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, particularly with tools like Terraform, to provision, manage, and update infrastructure efficiently and consistently. Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell and Python will be essential for automating routine tasks, streamlining deployments, and enhancing operational workflows.
• • You will have deep involvement in managing and optimizing our server, network, and storage infrastructure, including the planning and execution of maintenance and change windows. This requires a thorough understanding of both cloud-native services and traditional on-premises systems, ensuring a cohesive and integrated environment.
• • Leading and maturing our incident response and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes will be a core function. You will be responsible for establishing and enforcing best practices in incident management, minimizing downtime, and ensuring swift and effective resolution of any issues that arise. This includes implementing and maintaining an enterprise Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to provide a clear and accurate view of our infrastructure.
• • You will play a pivotal role in researching, evaluating, and implementing new tools and technologies. This includes conducting Proofs of Concept (PoCs) for solutions in areas such as observability, operations, and infrastructure management, ensuring PAR Technology remains at the forefront of technological advancements. Experience with monitoring tools like Datadux, New Relic, or Uptime.com is highly valued.
• • Security is paramount. You will be expected to champion a security-first mindset, manage vulnerability remediation efforts, and collaborate closely with our Security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. This includes understanding and implementing security best practices across all aspects of the cloud infrastructure.
• • This role also encompasses supporting critical business continuity initiatives, including Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and execution, as well as robust backup strategies. You will work closely with global Engineering, DevOps, and Security teams to foster strong partnerships and drive operational excellence across the organization.
• • A key strategic responsibility will be leading the cloud and infrastructure integration efforts during Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A). This requires the ability to assess, plan, and execute the seamless incorporation of new infrastructure into PAR's existing environment, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum synergy.
