📋 Description

• As Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting at Replit, you will own the most complex accounting domains and set the standard for close quality and financial controls during a critical phase of growth following Series D funding, ensuring the company’s accounting infrastructure scales to support increased reporting complexity and audit readiness.
• You will lead the monthly and quarterly financial close process, owning the calendar, driving cadence, and establishing best practices for balance sheet reconciliation quality across the team, while serving as the primary accounting liaison to HR, Legal, and FP&A on close-impacting matters.
• You will act as the primary resource for complex technical accounting, including ASC 718 (stock-based compensation), ASC 842 (leases), ASC 340-40 (commissions), and ASC 350-40 (internal-use software), preparing accounting memos, assessing new standards, and supporting equity accounting and cap table coordination.
• You will oversee financial reporting for board packages, 10-K/10-Q equivalent disclosures, and internal management reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP while supporting audit and tax coordination as the main point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors.
• You will own the audit PBC list, drive audit readiness, and defend technical accounting positions through to sign-off, building processes in a lean, fast-moving environment where you design controls rather than inherit them.
• You will partner cross-functionally to ensure accounting considerations are integrated into HR, legal, and FP&A initiatives, particularly around equity, commissions, and lease accounting, contributing to Replit’s mission of democratizing software development through natural language.
• You will help build and mentor an accounting team capable of supporting Replit’s next phase of growth, fostering a culture of technical excellence, process ownership, and accountability in a hybrid work environment based in Foster City, CA.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of accounting experience in high-growth technology or SaaS companies, with significant experience in financial close ownership or technical accounting roles
• Deep working knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 718, ASC 842, ASC 340-40, and ASC 350-40, with ability to research, document, and defend complex accounting positions
• Active CPA license required; Big 4 or large regional public accounting background strongly preferred
• Proven experience leading financial close processes and holding teams to high balance sheet reconciliation standards
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Campfire, or comparable platforms
