Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own and drive high-impact, enterprise-wide strategic initiatives that directly influence Freshworks’ next phase of growth, working shoulder-to-shoulder with the C-suite and Board of Directors to prioritize, scope, and deliver programs that can shift revenue by tens of millions of dollars.
- • Translate ambiguous, top-of-mind questions—“Should we enter a new vertical?” “How do we optimize global pricing?” “Which acquisition targets accelerate our platform vision?”—into structured hypotheses, data-backed analyses, and board-ready storylines that withstand investor scrutiny.
- • Build and own end-to-end business cases: size TAM/SAM, model P&L scenarios, quantify risk-adjusted returns, and pressure-test assumptions with Finance, Product, and Sales stakeholders to ensure every recommendation is both analytically sound and operationally executable.
- • Lead cross-functional tiger teams across Product Management, Sales Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Success to align incentives, remove roadblocks, and deliver measurable outcomes within 90-day sprints.
- • Design and maintain a living competitive-intelligence framework that synthesizes product roadmaps, pricing moves, and GTM tactics from key rivals into concise weekly briefings for the Executive Leadership Team.
- • Create and refresh board-level and investor-facing materials—strategic narratives, KPI dashboards, and scenario playbooks—ensuring consistency, clarity, and a compelling arc that showcases Freshworks’ long-term value proposition.
- • Institutionalize best-practice playbooks from consulting (issue trees, MECE prioritization, agile stand-ups) while adapting them to the cadence and culture of a high-growth SaaS environment with limited travel and maximum ownership.
- • Run quarterly strategic planning cycles: coordinate inputs from regional GMs, distill insights into 3-year roadmaps, and lock OKRs that cascade transparently to every function and geography.
- • Dive deep into operational bottlenecks—whether CAC payback, net-revenue retention, or international expansion ROI—partnering with BizOps to surface root causes and co-design fixes that can be piloted in one quarter and scaled the next.
- • Mentor and up-skill junior strategy analysts through hands-on coaching, weekly problem-solving sessions, and clear feedback loops that turn raw talent into future leaders.
- • Maintain an external pulse on emerging tech, macro-economic shifts, and regulatory changes, translating signals into early-warning briefs that keep the company ahead of inflection points.
- • Champion a culture of experimentation by establishing lightweight test-and-learn frameworks that allow Product and Sales to validate new pricing tiers, packaging bundles, or vertical solutions before committing full GTM resources.
- • Present findings in crisp, executive-level forums—ranging from informal huddles with the CEO to formal Board committee meetings—using storytelling techniques that turn complex data into decisive action within 30 minutes.
- • Ensure flawless project governance: scope charters, milestone tracking, risk registers, and post-mortems that institutionalize learnings and continuously raise the bar for strategic execution.
