Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Serve as the primary system administrator and functional lead for NetSuite ERP, managing configuration, customization (SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SavedSearches), and release management.
  • • Own the NetSuite integration landscape, including connections to upstream and downstream systems, ensuring seamless data flow across finance and operational platforms.
  • • Drive optimization of AR/AP, general ledger (GL), and month-end close processes within NetSuite, reducing manual effort and improving accuracy.
  • • Lead system remediation initiatives such as unapplied cash cleanup and resolution of open documents to maintain clean financial records.
  • • Manage and optimize the broader finance technology stack, evaluating new AI-enabled tools, leading vendor negotiations, and retiring legacy processes.
  • • Own the finance systems roadmap, identifying opportunities for automation that reduce manual work in the close cycle and improve scalability.
  • • Implement and lead end-to-end system integration projects in partnership with Engineering, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical feasibility.
  • • Own IT general controls across finance systems as part of the SOX compliance program, including user access reviews, segregation of duties, and provisioning/deprovisioning workflows.
  • • Act as the primary liaison for external auditors (Deloitte) and advisory firms (PwC) on systems, data integrity, and audit queries related to finance technology.
  • • Maintain SOC report inventory and oversee annual vendor compliance reviews for all finance systems.
  • • Lead finance systems implementation and upgrade projects from scoping through go-live, ensuring minimal disruption and full stakeholder alignment.
  • • Build and maintain comprehensive systems documentation including data dictionaries, process flows, and runbooks to support continuity and training.
  • • Partner with Accounting and FP&A teams to translate business needs into scalable, efficient system solutions that support global operations.
  • • Operate independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with limited hand-holding, setting priorities and flagging blockers proactively.
  • • Communicate technical issues in plain language to non-technical stakeholders, bridging the gap between finance operations and technology teams.
  • • Demonstrate strong ownership instincts by identifying and resolving system issues before they become audit findings or operational risks.
  • • Embrace AI fluency by using AI-enabled tools to prioritize work, synthesize information, and reduce shadow work, while applying sound judgment on when to verify or override AI outputs.
  • • Work in-person 3 days per week at the Barcelona office, adhering to Perk’s IRL-first approach to foster connectivity, creativity, and team cohesion.
  • • Support global, multi-entity, multi-currency finance operations with a deep understanding of international accounting practices and compliance requirements.
  • • Contribute to a culture of curiosity and ownership by challenging incomplete requirements, proposing improvements, and driving continuous system evolution.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 7+ years of finance systems experience, with at least 4 years as a NetSuite administrator or functional lead
  • • Demonstrable hands-on NetSuite configuration experience: workflows, custom records, SuiteScript, saved searches, and reporting
  • • Track record of owning cross-system integration projects from requirements through delivery
  • • Solid understanding of core accounting processes (close cycle, AR/AP, consolidation) — enough to speak credibly with controllers and auditors
  • • Experience supporting SOX IT general controls or equivalent audit-facing compliance work
  • • Strong project management instincts: able to run multiple workstreams, communicate status clearly, and flag blockers early

  • • Generous allocation of vacation days plus public holidays
  • • Choice of private healthcare or a gym allowance
  • • Life Insurance coverage for financial protection of loved ones
  • • 17 weeks’ paid parental leave during a child’s first year
