Senior Manager, Global Trade Investigations (Remote)

📋 Description

• • Conduct internal investigations into potential violations of Global Trade regulations and internal compliance policies at Pratt & Whitney, including interviewing witnesses, collecting and analyzing documents, and collaborating with subject matter experts across RTX and Pratt & Whitney.
• • Research and evaluate the applicability of U.S. and foreign export control and sanctions regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), to determine whether violations have occurred.
• • Maintain meticulous, organized records of all investigation evidence and accurately document resolutions to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
• • Support initiatives and projects led by the Global Trade Investigations & Disclosures group, contributing to process improvements and systemic enhancements in compliance workflows.
• • Act with integrity and promote Pratt & Whitney’s “Speak Up” culture by encouraging ethical reporting and transparent communication across all levels of the organization.
• • Work independently with minimal daily supervision while managing multiple high-priority investigations and competing deadlines in a fast-paced, global compliance environment.
• • Collaborate effectively with legal counsel, engineering teams, manufacturing units, and global trade professionals to assess risks and implement appropriate compliance measures.
• • Utilize digital technology tools and platforms common in engineering and manufacturing environments to support evidence gathering, data analysis, and documentation processes.
• • Ensure all investigative activities align with corporate compliance standards and legal requirements, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism throughout.
• • Contribute to the continuous improvement of global trade compliance frameworks by identifying gaps, recommending enhancements, and sharing best practices across the enterprise.
• • Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders on matters related to export controls, sanctions compliance, and regulatory obligations for controlled military and dual-use items.
• • Maintain awareness of evolving U.S. and international trade regulations and adapt investigative approaches accordingly to mitigate organizational risk.
• • Operate remotely as a fully virtual role, with potential for occasional in-person meetings or interviews at RTX locations as required by the hiring process.
• • Represent Pratt & Whitney’s compliance function with professionalism and precision in all internal and external communications, ensuring clarity and accuracy in reporting.
• • Balance complex, multi-faceted investigations with competing priorities while adhering to strict timelines and documentation standards.
• • Uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and confidentiality in handling sensitive information related to export controls, sanctions, and internal investigations.
