📋 Description

• The Senior Manager of Decision Support at BMC Software, Inc. is a highly visible leadership role responsible for managing the Decision Support (cost accounting) system for Boston Medical Center and its affiliated medical group, ensuring accurate financial data for strategic decision-making.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing cost accounting systems, leading the design and implementation of medical group cost models, conducting quality control analysis, partnering with financial planning and data infrastructure teams, and driving reporting strategies for profitability data across leadership and operational teams.
• The role involves supporting business development by providing financial insights for new programs, coordinating with strategy teams, and overseeing external filings for business proposals, while also mentoring junior staff and establishing best practices in service line analytics.
• The position offers the opportunity to act as a key consultant to finance and operational leaders, champion enterprise-wide cost accounting strategy, and develop expertise in healthcare finance, clinical operations, and data structure to enhance organizational value and customer service.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Business (Finance, Accounting, Economics), Public Health, Public Administration, or Health Administration preferred.
• 7+ years of healthcare managerial or consulting experience or related field, with required experience in healthcare reimbursement and cost accounting.
• Prior supervisory experience required; revenue modeling and business intelligence software experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills with ability to present to executive and clinical/non-clinical staff, manage multiple initiatives, and foster cross-departmental collaboration.
• Proven ability to interface with senior leaders, operate independently under pressure, and maintain high standards of data integrity and accountability.
