📋 Description
- • Lead multiple software engineering teams as part of a strategic group, aligning engineering initiatives with organisational goals and the vision of Henry Schein One UK to transform dental care through technology.
- • Define and execute an ambitious technology roadmap focused on automating dental practice operations, including systems for dental charting, imaging, finance, payments, and online appointment management serving thousands of practices and millions of patients.
- • Champion a best-in-class developer experience by integrating AI productivity tooling and empowering engineers to build scalable, high-quality solutions without over-engineering.
- • Stay current with engineering best practices and emerging technology trends to shape the technical strategy of the business, with a specific focus on leveraging AI and LLMs to deliver previously unimagined capabilities in dentistry.
- • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Data, and Quality leaders to prioritise and execute initiatives that drive customer success and business impact.
- • Ensure all technology delivery adheres to strict standards of security, compliance, and reliability across systems that handle sensitive patient and practice data.
- • Dive into complex technical problems when needed, guiding system design decisions and establishing coding standards while knowing when to empower teams to lead independently.
- • Set ambitious, measurable goals for teams to drive business outcomes and ensure alignment with the ‘One PMS’ strategy.
- • Drive improvements in engineering delivery processes and operational excellence by defining and owning SLAs and SLOs for your group’s systems.
- • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and technical excellence.
- • Motivate and inspire team members to exceed KPIs and deliver exceptional outcomes, leading by example in customer-centric thinking and innovation.
- • Actively participate in recruitment efforts to identify, attract, and hire top engineering talent aligned with company values.
- • Promote an inclusive, diverse, and collaborative team environment that reflects Henry Schein One’s commitment to equal opportunity and psychological safety.
- • Balance short-term priorities with long-term strategic vision, adapting quickly to changing business needs without compromising technical integrity or customer impact.
