- • Lead and support a team of engineers and product managers delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure software that advances NerdWallet’s product and business goals, driving product strategy and cross-functional collaboration to shape the roadmap and remove obstacles while fostering strong engineering practices and a culture of continuous learning.
- • Drive consistent execution of software development best practices, including code quality, testing, documentation, and operational excellence, and contribute to technical and architectural decisions ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, secure, and compliant with SEC regulatory requirements.
- • NerdWallet's RIA team builds and operates platforms powering financial advisory experiences, owning lead generation marketplace, content rendering infrastructure, and systems supporting wealth management firms’ business and website, ensuring accurate, compliant, and high-performance experiences across web and mobile for users seeking financial guidance.
- • Mentor and develop engineers, make thoughtful technical decisions, balance near-term delivery with long-term maintainability, compliance, and reliability, and support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development for engineers and product managers at varying levels.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience
- • 5+ years of experience as the people manager of an engineering team
- • Proven experience delivering production software in a complex, fast-paced environment
- • Proficient in NextJS, AWS, and TypeScript
- • Working knowledge of security best practices, data privacy, and compliance considerations in financial systems
- • Experience balancing delivery commitments with technical quality and long-term maintainability
