Senior Manager, Technology - Data & AI Programs

📋 Description

• • Provide strategic leadership and management for technology initiatives focused on data and AI programs with minimal supervision, setting the direction for operational and transformational change across technical functions.
• • Oversee enterprise-wide technology strategy including software engineering, platform system development, information security, enterprise architecture, infrastructure (data center, network, telephony), and program/project management.
• • Lead technical planning at daily, quarterly, and annual levels to align with GTS and company objectives, ensuring cohesive implementation across application systems and technical infrastructure.
• • Identify, communicate, and resolve high-level technical impediments that span multiple technology areas, businesses, or teams, providing timely updates on timelines, SLAs, and progress to key stakeholders.
• • Drive continuous improvement and transformation through incremental and step-change initiatives, adopting best practices in technology functional areas including data systems, AI platforms, and infrastructure.
• • Actively engage team members and peers to uncover opportunities for enhancing technology delivery and operational efficiency across the organization.
• • Proactively and reactively identify operational and strategic risks, implementing mitigation strategies to safeguard technology investments and business continuity.
• • Remain current on emerging technologies and methodologies to ensure the adoption of state-of-the-art, cost-effective solutions aligned with business needs.
• • Coordinate and oversee training programs to ensure all staff possess the necessary technical and functional skills to meet evolving requirements.
• • Serve as a key technical liaison between technology teams and business units, building strong relationships to support planning, execution, and alignment of technology goals with enterprise objectives.
• • Ensure all deliverables are met on target dates or within expected timeframes while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
• • Participate in the development and enforcement of enterprise-wide technology best practices covering software development, data management, security, architecture, and infrastructure operations.
• • Manage and mentor direct reports with full responsibility for hiring, training, assigning work, and evaluating performance.
• • Maintain awareness of regulatory and compliance obligations related to data, privacy, and information security, ensuring team adherence to VSP Vision’s Information Security and Privacy Policies.
