- • Analyze data and build models to evaluate performance of paid search (SEM), organic search (SEO), and Generative AI marketing channels, delivering actionable insights to marketing leaders.
- • Define, measure, and validate holistic, accurate metrics aligned with company strategy to guide budget allocation and channel optimization across acquisition, engagement, and revenue funnels.
- • Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and SQL scripts to extract, transform, and visualize marketing data from Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Ads.
- • Conduct diagnostic and descriptive analytics to uncover root causes of performance changes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements in spend efficiency, keyword performance, organic visibility, funnel conversion, and lead ROAS.
- • Map marketing processes and data flows across acquisition, engagement, and revenue generation to ensure data integrity and alignment between operational activities and analytical outputs.
- • Leverage Generative AI tools (Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT) to automate reporting workflows, accelerate analysis, and assess the impact of AI-driven search and referral channels on marketing outcomes.
- • Collaborate with marketing stakeholders, data analysts, and business process owners to prioritize competing requests, align on metric definitions, and empower data-backed decision-making.
- • Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency, conversion, revenue generation, client and talent experience, systems, tools, and cash usage through data-driven experimentation and prototyping.
- • Perform exploratory data analysis, hypothesis testing, predictive modeling, and forecasting to inform strategic marketing initiatives and financial performance.
- • Build and maintain marketing data infrastructure from lead acquisition to revenue attribution, ensuring seamless integration of tools and consistent data standards.
- • Communicate complex analytical findings simply and intuitively to non-technical stakeholders, challenging assumptions and flagging blind spots in data interpretation.
- • Work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, remote environment, managing multiple deadlines and diverse priorities across global teams.
- • Onboard quickly into Toptal’s culture and operations, shadowing key teams to understand marketing channels and data systems within the first week.
- • Within the first month, gain foundational understanding of marketing data storage, SEM/SEO/Generative AI operations, and current reporting frameworks.
- • Within three months, develop proficiency in critical marketing processes and begin delivering insights for leadership meetings.
- • Within six months, perform detailed root cause analyses and contribute to aligning standardized metrics across the company.
- • Within one year, become a subject matter expert in marketing data flows and help build a world-class marketing analytics function that informs strategic goals and performance indicators.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree required
- • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, analytics, or business intelligence with a focus on marketing analytics
- • 2+ years of experience in general consulting or an analytical operations function
- • Demonstrated experience analyzing SEM, SEO, and Generative AI / AI-driven search channels
- • Proficiency in SQL and experience with BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI, etc.)
- • Hands-on experience using Generative AI tools (Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT) to support analysis, automation, and reporting
