- ⢠The Senior Medical Science Liaison is a remote, field-based role responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and disseminating scientific data, building relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs), and connecting them to Takeda to advance medical strategy and improve patient outcomes in gastroenterology.
- ⢠Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting externally-focused KOL/HCP activities (minimum 80% of role), building and maintaining professional relationships per territory plans, disseminating complex scientific data in a compliant and balanced manner, supporting Takeda-sponsored research, collecting and communicating medical insights, identifying partnership opportunities, participating in medical conferences, responding to unsolicited medical inquiries, and completing CRM documentation, training, and expense reporting.
- ⢠The role is part of the US Medical team reporting to the Director, Field Medical - West Gastroenterology, covering Arizona and San Diego, CA territories, and operates within Takedaâs patient-focused culture committed to transforming care through novel specialty pharmaceuticals and inclusive, collaborative innovation.
- ⢠The individual will develop advanced expertise in gastroenterology therapeutic areas, refine skills in scientific communication and insight generation, contribute to medical strategy execution, and grow professionally through cross-functional collaboration and impactful external engagement in a Global Top Employer environment.
đŻ Requirements
- ⢠Doctoral degree in life/health sciences (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent) preferred; Masterâs degree in health sciences (MSN, NP, or PA) is the minimum requirement.
- ⢠Minimum of 2 years of experience as a field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in the pharmaceutical industry.
- ⢠Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- ⢠Ability to disseminate complex scientific data to healthcare audiences in a compliant, fair-balanced, and non-misleading manner.
- ⢠Valid driverâs license and ability to travel up to 70% of the time, including overnight and weekend travel, by car or flight.

- ⢠Competitive U.S. base salary range of $151,100.00 - $237,490.00, with potential for short- and/or long-term incentives.
