📋 Description

• The Senior Medical Science Liaison is a remote, field-based role responsible for building relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals, disseminating scientific data, and supporting medical strategy to improve patient outcomes in gastroenterology.
• Day-to-day activities include engaging with KOLs/HCPs (minimum 80% of time), analyzing and sharing complex scientific information, supporting research initiatives, collecting medical insights, and maintaining compliant documentation via CRM and expense reporting.
• The role is part of Takeda’s US Medical team, reporting to the Director, Field Medical - West Gastroenterology, covering the NE, MO, and KS territory with a focus on advancing therapeutic area expertise and external collaboration.
• The incumbent will develop deep expertise in gastroenterology, refine medical insights gathering skills, contribute to evidence-based strategies, and grow professionally within a global leader in patient-focused pharmaceutical innovation.

🎯 Requirements

• Doctoral degree in life/health sciences (PharmD, MD, PhD) preferred; Master’s degree in health sciences (MSN, NP, PA) is the minimum requirement.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to disseminate complex scientific data to healthcare audiences in a compliant, fair-balanced, and non-misleading manner.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 70% of the time, including overnight and weekend travel.
