- • Build and productionize AI-powered product features across eCommerce, marketing, analytics, and customer workflows using machine learning and generative AI systems
- • Design and implement agentic AI systems and LLM-powered workflows to automate customer and operational tasks
- • Develop, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models into production environments with end-to-end ownership
- • Work across the full ML lifecycle including experimentation, feature engineering, model evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvement
- • Collaborate directly with product managers, backend engineers, analytics teams, and DevOps to integrate AI systems into existing product platforms
- • Design scalable APIs and inference services to support AI-driven functionality across the enterprise cannabis retail platform
- • Improve and evolve the company’s ML infrastructure, tooling, and AI-native development workflows to enable faster iteration and reliability
- • Rapidly prototype new AI ideas, validate hypotheses using real-world data, and iterate based on business impact and user feedback
- • Contribute to the design and implementation of experimentation frameworks, A/B testing methodologies, and production monitoring systems for AI features
- • Stay current with advancements in LLMs, agentic AI, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and applied machine learning to inform technical direction
- • Work within a cross-functional engineering organization structured into product teams, influencing AI strategy across multiple domains including eCommerce and marketing
- • Drive technical initiatives independently in ambiguous environments while maintaining alignment with product goals and engineering standards
- • Ensure production reliability through MLOps practices including CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and model performance tracking
- • Engage in technical decision-making that shapes the future of AI integration across the entire platform, with high ownership over system architecture
- • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders including product managers and business leaders
- • Participate in cross-team collaboration with backend engineers, data analysts, and DevOps to align AI initiatives with platform-wide infrastructure and data pipelines
- • Contribute to the evolution of the company’s AI Vertical, helping establish best practices for model development, deployment, and governance
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of production engineering experience in machine learning, AI engineering, or backend engineering
- • Strong Python and SQL skills
- • Hands-on experience building and shipping production ML/AI systems
- • Experience with LLMs, RAG systems, AI agents, or orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph or PydanticAI
- • Understanding of ML/AI system design, experimentation, and production deployment practices
- • Experience building APIs or backend services and familiarity with MLOps, CI/CD, and monitoring tools
