📋 Description

• As a Senior ML Data Project Manager at Twelve Labs Inc., you will lead the end-to-end data operations that power cutting-edge video-language AI models, directly enabling breakthroughs in video search, summarization, and insight generation used by global sports leagues, broadcast studios, and public safety systems.
• You will own the design, execution, and optimization of large-scale video-language data collection, labeling, and quality assurance projects, ensuring high-quality datasets that serve as the foundation for training state-of-the-art multimodal AI models.
• You will collaborate closely with Research, Product, and Engineering teams to translate model and product needs into actionable data strategies, while managing external vendor partners to deliver scalable, reliable data pipelines.
• You will drive automation and tooling improvements in annotation workflows, quality monitoring, and resource allocation, reducing manual overhead and increasing consistency across data streams.
• You will maintain real-time visibility into data portfolio performance, enabling agile resource allocation and prioritization across product verticals to meet evolving model training demands.
• You will design and implement clear annotation guidelines, documentation, and reporting dashboards that bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency across global teams.
• You will foster a culture of data excellence by advocating for the critical role of data in AI performance, mentoring cross-functional partners, and embedding data-centric thinking into product and research workflows.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in AI-centric data operations, including end-to-end design and execution of large-scale data collection, labeling, and post-processing projects
• Proven ability to analyze complex, unstructured multimodal data (especially video-language) and distill patterns into clear, actionable annotation guidelines or documentation
• Proficiency in Python (pandas, Jupyter) and experience with automation tools, LLMs, or industrial data tooling for scalable data workflows
• Exceptional communication and project management skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while aligning cross-functional stakeholders
• Strong foundational understanding of LLM/VLM and multimodal AI concepts, with genuine interest in how data drives model performance
