Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Senior MLOps Engineer responsible for owning production ML operations, building pipelines that take models from prototype to production, and ensuring reliability of the Next Best Action (NBA) engine and LLM agents.
- • Day-to-day tasks include owning and hardening the ML serving API for low-latency traffic, building repeatable deployment pipelines with infrastructure as code, setting up monitoring and alerting for model and agent health, and collaborating with the HAL platform team on ML serving decisions.
- • The Data team is small, ambitious, and shipping fast — consisting of one data scientist, two data engineers, one data analyst, and one product manager — with tight feedback loops, real autonomy, and a focus on pragmatism over purity.
- • In this role, you will grow into a technical lead for NBA production ML operations, drive architectural decisions across APIs and infrastructure, mentor data engineers in MLOps patterns, and shape the team’s roadmap for next-generation ML infrastructure.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in software, data, or ML engineering, with 4–5+ years running ML systems in production
- • Strong Python proficiency for production codebases, including serving API, pipelines, and tooling; comfort with TypeScript for agent runtime integration
- • Experience with CI/CD for ML systems using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Bamboo, including automated testing and reproducible builds
- • Infrastructure as code expertise managing AWS (especially Lambda), ECS, Docker, and Terraform or equivalent
- • Monitoring and observability discipline: instrumenting systems for latency, error rates, drift, and cost; setting up alerting and treating observability as a first-class deliverable
- • Experience building and operating low-latency production APIs using FastAPI, BentoML, or equivalent, with knowledge of serving, batching, and caching
- • Security and governance awareness: applying IAM, KMS, access policies, and Secrets Manager/SSM across systems
- • Solid understanding of ML concepts including models, pipelines, metrics, and supervised/unsupervised learning
- • Active use of AI tooling in engineering workflows as a default practice, not a novelty
- • Experience with Databricks and PySpark for data manipulation and feature engineering
🏖️ Benefits
- • Remote Flexibility: Work from anywhere with freedom to balance life and career
- • Unforgettable Off-Sites: Twice-yearly team gatherings in exciting destinations to foster collaboration and innovation
- • Paid Time Off and National Holidays: 20 PTO days yearly plus national holidays for rest and rejuvenation
- • Stock Options: Equity stake in the company’s success as part of compensation
- • Home Office Setup: Dedicated budget to create your ideal workspace
- • Work Trip Budget: Funding for professional growth through work-related trips and co-working opportunities
