This position is not just about data manipulation; it's about transforming complex market dynamics into clear, actionable insights that drive client success.
  • • As a Senior Modelling Analyst, your responsibilities will extend to contributing significantly to the content generation for Kpler's prestigious Insight product. This involves translating intricate data analysis into compelling narratives and reports that inform our clients about critical market trends, potential disruptions, and strategic opportunities within the commodities, energy, and maritime sectors.

This means your analytical output will directly inform sales strategies, client engagements, and product development, ensuring Kpler remains at the forefront of market intelligence.
  • • You will be responsible for the integrity and continuous improvement of our proprietary supply and demand models. This includes identifying areas for enhancement, implementing new methodologies, and ensuring the models accurately reflect real-world market conditions. Your work will directly impact the reliability and predictive power of Kpler's core intelligence products.
  • • Collaborate closely with quantitative analysts, data scientists, and domain experts to refine existing models and develop new analytical frameworks. This cross-functional collaboration is essential for leveraging diverse perspectives and ensuring our modelling capabilities remain cutting-edge.
  • • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on global commodity, energy, and maritime markets. This involves staying abreast of geopolitical events, regulatory changes, technological advancements, and economic factors that influence supply and demand dynamics.

  • • Present complex analytical findings and model outputs to both internal stakeholders (including commercial teams and senior management) and external clients in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner.
  • • Proactively identify opportunities to leverage our S&D models for new product development or to enhance existing client solutions, contributing to Kpler's innovation pipeline.
  • • Mentor junior analysts, sharing your expertise in modelling techniques, market analysis, and data interpretation, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
  • • Contribute to the strategic direction of Kpler's S&D product suite, providing insights based on your analytical work and understanding of market needs.
  • • Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality analytical reports and model updates, meeting the demands of a fast-paced and evolving market environment.
  • • Engage with clients to understand their specific analytical needs and challenges, and tailor Kpler's insights and modelling outputs to address them effectively.
  • • Monitor industry best practices in quantitative analysis and modelling, and advocate for the adoption of relevant new tools and techniques.
  • • Play a role in the validation and back-testing of model performance, ensuring that our predictions and analyses are grounded in empirical evidence and historical accuracy.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on how global businesses understand and navigate complex markets. You will be a key player in shaping Kpler's future as a leading provider of commodity and energy intelligence.
