- • As a Senior .NET Blazor Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of our Horizon team, a mission-critical system that serves as the system of record for business aircraft operators. This sophisticated platform is designed to manage and streamline complex operations, including the intricate scheduling of aircraft and crew member activities. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and safety of flight operations.
- • Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of development activities, from designing and implementing robust software solutions using .NET and C# to ensuring the highest standards of performance, reliability, and security. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining APIs that facilitate seamless integration between internal and external systems, as well as with other Portside and third-party platforms.
- • A significant aspect of your role will involve designing efficient database schemas, managing database operations, and crafting optimized SQL queries. Ensuring the integrity and reliability of our data is paramount, and your expertise in this area will be highly valued. This includes experience with database migrations and leveraging tools like Entity Framework to manage data persistence effectively.

Therefore, you will be expected to write comprehensive unit and integration tests, actively contributing to our overall test strategy and ensuring the exceptional quality of our products. Adherence to industry best practices such as DRY (Don't Repeat Yourself), KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid), and established design patterns will be a cornerstone of your development approach.
- • You will also play a crucial role in refactoring existing software components. This proactive approach to eliminating technical debt and enhancing application extensibility is vital for the long-term success and maintainability of our systems. Your ability to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions will be key.

- • The Horizon system itself is a comprehensive tool that supports critical functions such as flight and crew legality checks, charter quote generation, tracking crew training, rest, and qualifications, and managing passenger details and documents. It also facilitates record-keeping and reporting, integrates with fuel pricing and ordering services, and connects with numerous other Portside and third-party platforms for tasks like aircraft maintenance, service ordering, safety checks, weight-and-balance calculations, and flight plan filing.

🎯 Requirements
- • Strong proficiency in .NET and C# is essential.
- • Solid understanding of SQL, experience with database migrations, and familiarity with Entity Framework.
- • Proven experience in application architecture design, with a good grasp of MVC, SOLID, DRY, KISS, and other development best practices.
- • Demonstrated experience with REST API design and implementation.
- • Experience working with AWS services such as RDS, S3, Lambda, SQS, and DynamoDB.
- • Good understanding of CI/CD principles, experience with unit and integration testing, and strong knowledge of Git.
- • Practical experience with Blazor and Telerik components.
- • Excellent troubleshooting skills and a results-oriented engineering mindset.
