• • In this strategic and critical role within Core Infrastructure Engineering, you will be responsible for managing and evolving the entire network infrastructure for one of the world's foremost cryptocurrency exchanges. You will thrive in a challenging, fun, and fast-paced environment, working alongside a highly dedicated team.
• • We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and self-starting individual with a proven ability to think outside the box and develop sustainable solutions to complex network challenges. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the robustness, security, and scalability of Kraken's network across the APAC region and beyond.
• • Key responsibilities will include the implementation and evolution of enterprise network access controls, ensuring secure and efficient access for all users and systems. You will manage and deploy infrastructure as code (IaC) at scale, leveraging automation to streamline operations and enhance reliability.
• • A significant part of your role will involve contributing to the design, implementation, management, and defense of a zero-trust, defense-in-depth network architecture. This will require a deep understanding of modern security principles and their application in a high-stakes financial environment.
• • You will be responsible for writing high-quality policies, procedures, and technical documentation, ensuring clear communication and adherence to best practices across the organization. This includes collaborating closely with internal development teams and other stakeholders to ensure that network security principles are integrated from the initial stages of product development.
• • You will work hand-in-hand with Engineering and IT Security teams to guarantee that product features are deployed securely and are continuously monitored for any potential threats or performance issues.
• • Your responsibilities will extend to monitoring and maintaining all physical infrastructure, including network devices, security appliances, and compute resources. This also encompasses managing cloud data center environments and remote office locations, ensuring maximum service uptime.
• • You will be on the front lines, responding to critical network problems and incidents to minimize disruption and maintain the integrity of Kraken's services.
