📋 Description

• As a Senior or Staff Software Engineer on the SRE/Platform Team at OneSignal, you will play a critical role in maintaining and scaling the infrastructure that powers a platform delivering over 1.3 trillion messages annually to 1.5 billion monthly active users across mobile and web push, in-app messaging, SMS, and email.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include optimizing system performance, building infrastructure as code using Kubernetes and Terraform, establishing observability and monitoring stacks, defining CI/CD best practices, collaborating with engineering teams to design scalable services, and participating in on-call incident response to ensure 99.95% uptime is sustained at scale.
• You will join a small, high-impact team at OneSignal, a Series C, venture-backed company trusted by 1 in 4 app publishers and used by customers in 140 countries, including Live Nation, American Express, and Zynga, where collaboration, ownership, and personal growth are emphasized despite massive scale.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in platform engineering, gain hands-on experience with Rust and Go at scale, lead automation initiatives, and influence architectural decisions that directly impact the reliability and performance of a globally used customer engagement platform.

🎯 Requirements

• At least 8 years of platform experience
• Experience operating reliable production systems at scale
• Knowledge of Linux systems internals
• Experience managing PostgreSQL for high-scale throughput systems or similar SQL datastores
• Operational experience deploying and managing Kubernetes
• Experience working with Cloud Providers (AWS/GCP/Azure)
