  • • We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Payments Manager to take complete ownership of and drive significant improvements across all aspects of our payments performance. This is a high-impact, execution-focused position where you will be instrumental in optimizing key areas of our payment flows, including authentication processes, transaction routing strategies, retry mechanisms, decline management protocols, and the overall performance of our Payment Service Providers (PSPs). You will be the driving force behind bringing structure, rigorous data analysis, and unwavering ownership to a domain that directly influences our core business metrics: conversion, customer retention, and revenue generation.
  • • Your core responsibilities will encompass owning the end-to-end payments performance across all payment methods, including major credit/debit cards and a variety of alternative payment options. This involves a deep dive into diagnosing the root causes of payment declines, understanding intricate issuer behaviors, and identifying regional performance patterns that may impact success rates. You will be tasked with conceptualizing, developing, and implementing optimization initiatives that enhance authentication success, refine transaction routing for better authorization outcomes, improve the effectiveness of retry logic, and strengthen our recovery processes for failed payments.
  • • A key aspect of this role will be establishing and maintaining structured experimentation frameworks, enabling us to continuously learn and iterate on our payment strategies. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of comprehensive payments dashboards, detailed performance reporting, and insightful analytics that provide a clear view of our payment health and opportunities for improvement. Furthermore, you will serve as the primary escalation point for any critical payments incidents, ensuring swift and effective resolution. Collaboration will be paramount as you partner closely with our PSPs, acquirers, and card networks to forge stronger relationships and drive improvements in authorization rates and overall payment success.
  • • This role demands a proactive individual who thrives on tackling complex, often ambiguous problems and driving them to successful completion. You will need to demonstrate a strong ability to manage and influence a wide range of stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams, ensuring alignment and buy-in for your initiatives. A data-driven mindset, coupled with a keen commercial awareness and an execution-focused approach, is essential for success. You must be comfortable navigating and excelling within a fast-paced, high-growth environment where agility and adaptability are key.
