Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Be the strategic heartbeat of Olix’s US expansion. As Senior People Partner you will sit at the intersection of people, culture, and business growth, translating ambitious product roadmaps into scalable people-practices that keep teams inspired, compliant, and high-performing.
- • Own the full employee lifecycle for every US teammate—currently Austin and San Francisco offices—designing and executing seamless onboarding, performance management, compensation reviews, and compassionate off-boarding that protects both the individual and the company.
- • Coach and challenge senior leaders and first-time managers alike, turning people data into actionable insight. You’ll run monthly leadership roundtables, deliver bite-size manager toolkits, and act as a confidential sounding board on everything from org design to difficult conversations.
- • Serve as the go-to authority on US federal and Texas employment law, keeping policies, handbooks, and day-to-day decisions audit-ready. You will monitor legislative changes, brief executives on risk, and partner with outside counsel when needed—turning compliance into a competitive advantage.
- • Build bridges across time zones with our UK-based People & Ops teams. You’ll co-create global frameworks (e.g., compensation bands, DEI goals, remote-first rituals) and then localize them for US realities—ensuring Olix feels like one company, not two.
- • Drive high-impact, cross-functional projects—such as rolling out a new ATS, launching a 401(k) with employer match, or designing an equity refresh program—working shoulder-to-shoulder with Finance, Legal, and Operations to hit tight, investor-driven timelines.
- • Lead employee relations with empathy and rigor. Whether mediating a conflict, investigating a sensitive claim, or guiding a performance improvement plan, you will balance fairness, legal risk, and cultural values—documenting every step in clear, defensible language.
- • Champion Olix’s culture in every interaction. From onboarding swag to Friday demos, you will design rituals that celebrate curiosity, velocity, and kindness—making sure new hires feel at home on day one and tenured employees feel re-energized every quarter.
- • Translate people metrics into board-ready narratives. You’ll own dashboards on headcount, attrition, engagement, and diversity—spotting trends early and recommending interventions that save money, reduce regrettable turnover, and accelerate product delivery.
- • Model radical candor and continuous learning. You’ll facilitate quarterly retros, run pulse surveys, and pilot new benefits or policies—then iterate fast based on feedback, ensuring Olix remains the place where top talent does the best work of their careers.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a high-growth technology company (startup or scale-up), with proven ownership of the full employee lifecycle
- • Deep fluency in US federal and Texas employment law; global or UK exposure is a strong plus
- • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and first-time managers without formal authority, backed by data and storytelling
- • Comfortable working independently across time zones in a remote-reporting structure, managing ambiguity with a pragmatic, solutions-first mindset
- • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or equivalent practical experience
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary plus stock options—own a tangible piece of Olix’s future
- • 100% employer-paid health, dental, vision, and life insurance once the US group policy launches (currently an $800/month stipend until threshold is met)
- • 401(k) plan with planned 4–5% employer match aligned to Austin tech market norms
- • 33 days PTO including US federal holidays, periodic travel to London HQ, and high-spec tech kit (Sony headphones, ergonomic setup, personal tool budget)
