- • As a Senior People Partner at Sona Technologies Inc., you will play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling the People function during a critical growth phase, directly impacting how the company supports its 150+ globally distributed team and drives high-performance culture.
- • Day to day, you will act as the go-to business partner for managers navigating performance conversations, probation, and difficult employee relations issues, while driving key People projects such as performance management frameworks, learning and development initiatives, and culture-building programs from design to delivery.
- • You will join a fast-moving, ambitious scaleup that has already impacted over 100k frontline workers worldwide, secured $50M+ in funding from top-tier VCs including Felicis, Northzone, and Gradient Ventures (Google), and grown to 140+ employees — offering the rare blend of startup agility and structured leadership.
- • Reporting to the Chief of Staff & VP of People (a combined role), you will execute the People strategy as Sona scales past 150 headcount and expands into new international markets, with a clear path to Head of People for those who excel in this role.
🎯 Requirements
- • You are a People generalist with proven experience spanning business partnering, HR operations, and project delivery, comfortable building processes from scratch in a startup or scaleup environment (ideally post-Series A).
- • You have personally handled performance management, probation, and difficult people situations — not just designed policy — and can navigate ambiguity while making sound judgment calls with senior stakeholders.
- • You bring a commercial mindset, understanding business strategy and organisational priorities, and frame People decisions in terms of what’s right for the business.
- • You communicate clearly and directly, adapting your style effectively across different audiences and levels of seniority.
