đź“‹ Description
- • Serve as the primary Workday administrator responsible for day-to-day configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Handshake’s Workday tenant across Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Time & Absence, Payroll, and integrations.
- • Configure and maintain end-to-end business processes for hiring, promotions, transfers, terminations, and organizational changes using custom objects, validation rules, conditional routing, notifications, and delegation.
- • Build, maintain, and security-tune custom reports and dashboards used by HRBPs, Compensation, Finance, and executive leadership, translating ambiguous requests (e.g., "who’s exempt from RTO?", "monthly Europe-only census") into accurate, durable data models with calculated fields.
- • Lead mass data operations including reorganizations, performance cycles, compensation adjustments, RIFs, and other bulk changes, ensuring clean execution by coordinating timing with downstream systems (Okta, Slack, GitHub, Datadog, Linear) and rigorously testing in Sandbox/Preview before promoting to Production.
- • Audit and improve tenant hygiene by maintaining accurate data for organizations, supervisory orgs, locations, cost centers, job profiles, comp grades, and reference IDs; lead periodic tenant health checks to ensure data integrity.
- • Own and manage simple integrations (e.g., Workday–Slack) and partner with external Workday consultants for complex integration needs, ensuring seamless data flow between systems.
- • Act as the trusted technical advisor to the People Systems lead, providing clear assessments of feasibility, effort (LOE), risks, and tradeoffs for all People Systems requests.
- • Collaborate closely with People Operations, HRBPs, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, IT, and Engineering Operations to translate ambiguous business requirements into Workday-native solutions.
- • Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations by applying knowledge of US HR compliance considerations including pay transparency, California emergency contact requirements, visa tracking, EOR/EMEA, and RIF/WARN guidelines.
- • Support global workforce changes including EOR conversions, country open/close cycles, sabbaticals, and international reorganizations with attention to regional compliance and system impact.
- • Maintain strong stakeholder management practices by taking ambiguous HR requests and delivering clear specs, build plans, and rollout timelines with accountability for outcomes.
- • Work independently within a small, high-trust People team where priorities shift rapidly, requiring adaptability, initiative, and proactive problem-solving.
- • Participate in tenant security model governance, including user access reviews and role-based permissions aligned with Workday Customer Central standards.
- • Contribute to continuous improvement of Workday processes by identifying inefficiencies, proposing enhancements, and documenting procedures for knowledge sharing.
- • Support payroll and time & absence workflows by ensuring accurate configuration of pay rules, accruals, and absence policies tied to employee status and location.
- • Maintain documentation for all configured processes, reports, and integrations to ensure continuity and onboarding readiness.
- • Partner with external Workday consultants on complex projects outside the scope of core responsibilities, ensuring alignment with internal standards and timelines.
- • Stay current with Workday updates and feature releases, evaluating their applicability to Handshake’s People Systems needs and recommending adoption where beneficial.
- • Ensure all Workday changes are tested, documented, and communicated to impacted stakeholders prior to go-live.
- • Maintain a strong focus on data accuracy, system reliability, and user experience across all Workday-enabled HR workflows.
