Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • Own the infrastructure powering StackOne’s AI Integration Gateway at scale across AWS, including ECS Fargate, Aurora, ElastiCache, MSK, OpenSearch, Lambda, and KMS, while leading the migration from AWS CDK to Terraform.
- • Design, build, and maintain the CI/CD pipeline that deploys every service in a monorepo environment, implementing incremental and affected-only testing to ensure speed and reliability as the codebase grows.
- • Develop and manage Terraform modules, container images, runbooks, and documentation for deploying StackOne into customers’ own AWS, GCP, or Azure accounts (self-hosted/BYOC model).
- • Create and enforce the release and upgrade path for self-hosted customers, including versioned and signed releases, a supported-version policy, and automated call-home mechanisms for usage and version reporting.
- • Partner with the Security Engineer and tech leads to define secure, standardized deployment templates and golden paths for all new repositories — product, internal tools, and prototypes — ensuring security and observability are embedded from day one.
- • Establish and monitor SLOs, observability frameworks, and incident response protocols for the platform to ensure high reliability and minimal operational burden during outages or failures.
- • Treat infrastructure as a product by building self-serve tooling and paved roads that enable product engineers to deploy and manage their services independently without manual handoffs.
- • Leverage LLMs and AI agents to accelerate infrastructure tasks such as IaC generation, test scaffolding, and runbook drafting, while maintaining guardrails for safety and accuracy.
- • Ensure all infrastructure is cost-aware, observable, and secure, with a focus on reducing operational toil through automation and proactive monitoring.
- • Produce clear, actionable documentation and runbooks that both internal engineers and external customers can follow to deploy, operate, and troubleshoot the platform.
- • Collaborate closely with the CTO, Security Engineer, and tech leads to align infrastructure strategy with product goals and security requirements.
- • Maintain and evolve the current tech stack: AWS (ECS, Aurora, Lambda, KMS), GitHub Actions, Datadog, Sentry, Metabase, TypeScript, Python, Docker, and Kafka/MSK.
- • Support the transition from AWS CDK to Terraform as the primary IaC tool, ensuring backward compatibility and minimal disruption to existing deployments.
- • Contribute to the adoption of multi-cloud readiness by extending infrastructure patterns to GCP and Azure environments where applicable.
- • Drive reliability improvements through automated testing, deployment validation, and proactive system health checks across all environments — internal and customer-hosted.
- • Promote a culture of ownership, automation, and continuous improvement by eliminating manual checklists and replacing them with scalable, repeatable systems.

About StackOne Inc.
StackOne provides a unified API that lets software companies integrate with multiple HR, payroll, ATS, LMS and other workforce platforms through a single interface. Instead of building and maintaining separate integrations, developers authenticate once and read or write data across systems like Workday, BambooHR, Greenhouse, SAP SuccessFactors and more using normalized data models. The platform handles token refresh, rate limits, permissions and compliance, so teams can launch integrations faster and keep them current without ongoing maintenance. Headquartered in San Francisco, StackOne serves SaaS vendors that embed workforce connectivity into their own products.
