- • The Senior Portfolio Analyst - Corporate role at AgLoan (American AgCredit) is critical to managing a designated loan portfolio of large, complex commercial and mortgage loans, with a focus on key industries such as Beef, Dairy, and Grain, directly supporting the organization’s mission to serve those who feed, clothe, and fuel the world.
- • Day to day, the analyst assists Relationship Managers in gathering customer information, develops credit packages, analyzes financial statements and cash flows, requests appraisals and third-party verifications, prepares loan analysis narratives, makes credit recommendations based on underwriting standards, monitors portfolio servicing needs, reviews legal documentation, and contributes to process improvements and cross-functional initiatives.

- • In this role, the individual will deepen expertise in agricultural lending principles, credit risk analysis, loan underwriting, and participation/syndication processes, while gaining autonomy in decision-making, mentoring opportunities, and exposure to strategic planning and regulatory compliance within a respected financial institution.
🎯 Requirements
- • BA/BS degree with emphasis on agribusiness, business administration, or equivalent.
- • Eight or more years of progressively responsible banking or related agricultural lending experience.
- • Demonstrated analytical and statistical skills to evaluate loan requests and form independent opinions on creditworthiness aligned with organizational risk appetite.
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- • Proficiency in PC use, including word-processing, email, and electronic spreadsheet software.
- • Knowledge of FCA regulations, association policies, and Participation and Syndication credits.
