- • As a Senior Principal/Senior Director of Software Delivery/Software Program Management at FICO, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful end-to-end delivery of Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions that power critical business decisions for global enterprises in over 100 countries. Your leadership will directly impact the reliability, scalability, and timeliness of FICO’s analytics software, which underpins credit scoring, fraud detection, and lending systems used by major financial institutions worldwide.
- • You will drive strategic software delivery initiatives by overseeing the full lifecycle management of complex PaaS products, aligning technical execution with business objectives, and fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration across global engineering, product, and operations teams.
- • Day to day, you will oversee and drive end-to-end product delivery lifecycle and release management for the Product organization, ensuring seamless coordination between development, QA, DevOps, and release teams to maintain predictable, high-quality software releases.
- • You will manage complex products by coordinating across numerous technology teams, implementing standardized delivery practices, and optimizing workflows to eliminate bottlenecks and enhance efficiency in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- • You will lead a highly technical product delivery team, aligning scope and release planning with strategic business goals, translating product roadmaps into actionable delivery plans while managing trade-offs between features, timelines, and resource constraints.
- • You will take ownership of driving teams toward quality and on-time delivery by enforcing agile methodologies, company-defined delivery standards, and best practices, including sprint planning, PI planning, and release train coordination.
- • You will proactively identify potential risks and obstacles impacting product roadmaps and release timelines, developing and executing dependency mapping and risk mitigation strategies to prevent delays and ensure resilience.
- • You will establish and monitor KPIs to measure product delivery effectiveness, quality, and success — including lead time, deployment frequency, change failure rate, and mean time to recovery — using data-driven insights to continuously improve performance.
- • You will facilitate a culture of continuous learning by conducting regular product retrospectives, capturing lessons learned, and refining delivery standards and processes to elevate team maturity and organizational capability.
- • You will partner closely with senior technology leaders, agile release management teams, and product managers to solve complex delivery challenges, ensuring alignment between technical execution and market-driven innovation.
- • You will leverage Atlassian tools such as Jira and Aha! to track progress, manage dependencies, and provide transparent reporting on release status, risks, and milestones to stakeholders at all levels.
- • You will mentor and develop delivery talent, fostering a high-performing, inclusive team culture that values psychological safety, ownership, and relentless improvement — core to FICO’s values of acting like an owner, delighting customers, and earning respect.
- • The team operates within FICO’s Software Product Organization, a world-class engineering and product division responsible for delivering mission-critical analytics platforms that enable digital transformation for Fortune 500 clients across banking, insurance, healthcare, and telecommunications.
- • FICO is a global leader in analytics software, renowned for its FICO® Scores used by 90 of the top 100 U.S. lenders, fraud systems protecting 4 billion payment cards globally, and lending platforms underpinning 3/4 of U.S. mortgages — making your work directly impactful on global financial stability and consumer trust.
- • In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape enterprise-scale delivery practices at a company ranked among the world’s top 100 software companies by revenue, working at the forefront of AI, machine learning, and optimization technologies applied to real-world business problems.
- • You will grow your leadership expertise in scaling agile frameworks (SAFe preferred), managing multi-cloud PaaS delivery, and influencing organizational change — positioning you for continued advancement in technology leadership roles within a stable, innovative, and values-driven enterprise.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong background in full lifecycle delivery for PaaS products and operations, with proven experience managing complex software releases across multiple public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- • Practical understanding and application of technical product delivery management and agile development lifecycles, including Scrum, Kanban, and scaled agile frameworks (SAFe certification preferred).
- • Experience managing complex dependencies between cross-functional teams (development, QA, DevOps, security, product) to ensure timely and reliable software releases.
- • Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and responding to technical risks and issues that impact delivery, with a track record of developing effective mitigation strategies.
- • Collaborative style with exceptional facilitation and time management skills, able to juggle multiple priorities and drive alignment under tight deadlines.
- • Results-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail, skilled in using Atlassian tools (Jira, Aha!) to track progress, manage backlogs, and report on delivery metrics.
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
