- • Own end-to-end design of core product experiences including Voice AI, SMS, email workflows, campaign builders, audience builders, and performance dashboards with a high sense of craft and polish.
- • Design scalable, intuitive interfaces for enterprise home services operators managing multi-location businesses, translating complex operational workflows into clear mental models.
- • Use AI tools like Claude to rapidly prototype interactive flows and pressure-test design concepts with product and engineering teams.
- • Contribute to and evolve Hatch’s design system built on shadcn/ui, integrated with React + Tailwind, ensuring consistency and scalability across the platform.
- • Conduct regular user research with home services business operators to understand real-world workflows and translate insights into product direction and design decisions.
- • Partner with customer success representatives and AI specialists to design interfaces that make AI feel trustworthy, controllable, and on-brand for end customers.
- • Advocate for design best practices in implementation, responsiveness, accessibility, and usability across all product surfaces.
- • Untangle dense, multi-step features such as campaigns, journeys, and integrations into simple, scalable structures that serve both SMBs and enterprise teams.
- • Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and AI specialists to ensure design fidelity and technical feasibility during development.
- • Deliver high-quality visual design with strong attention to hierarchy, typography, spacing, and polish, aiming for experiences comparable to Linear, Vercel, Attio, or Raycast.
- • Work in a hybrid environment, spending three days per week in the SoHo office in New York City.
- • Translate user research findings into actionable product bets and design iterations that align with business goals and customer needs.
- • Maintain familiarity with front-end fundamentals (HTML/CSS) to make small but meaningful UX refinements in production environments.
- • Communicate design rationale clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, leading customer interviews with curiosity and structure.
- • Design data-heavy interfaces that balance powerful functionality with simplicity for non-technical users in non-tech verticals like home services and home improvement.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience in product design or UX/UI in high-growth tech environments.
- • Highly skilled in Figma with comfort prototyping using AI tools like Claude to move quickly from idea to working artifact.
- • Well-versed with common UX/UI patterns and strong visual design instincts focused on hierarchy, typography, and polish.
- • Highly autonomous and high-agency; self-starters who identify problems, scope them, and drive them to resolution without direction.
- • Comfortable with front-end fundamentals (HTML/CSS) and motivated to make small UX refinements in production.
- • Strong information architecture instincts to simplify complex, multi-step workflows into scalable structures.
