- • As the second full-time product hire at Canals, Inc., you will report directly to the CEO and play a pivotal role in shaping the product vision for a profitable, remote-first startup transforming the $10T industrial supply chain with AI-driven automation. Your work will ensure that every interaction with the platform is intuitive, unambiguous, and accessible — even for non-technical users — by eliminating cognitive load and preventing user error through meticulous UX clarity.
- • You will work closely with the CEO to define and refine product strategy, translating high-level business goals into well-scoped, actionable product specifications and user flows. This includes owning the end-to-end product lifecycle: from discovery and prioritization to execution and launch, ensuring that simplicity and intentionality guide every decision — from microcopy to layout.
- • You will collaborate daily with design and engineering teams to advocate for user-centered solutions, rigorously reviewing interfaces and workflows to anticipate confusion, eliminate friction, and champion experiences that feel self-evident without requiring training or support.
- • You will deeply analyze user behavior, leveraging qualitative and quantitative insights to identify hidden pain points before they impact customers, and use this understanding to drive continuous improvement in product clarity, adoption, and satisfaction.
- • You will own and evolve the product roadmap, balancing strategic vision with tactical execution to ensure consistent progress on core product quality, while maintaining alignment across engineering, design, and leadership in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.
- • You will grow into a product leader who not only ships exceptional experiences but also mentors and influences a culture of UX excellence — learning from a diverse, high-caliber team while leaving a measurable impact on global supply chain efficiency, sustainability, and customer success.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in SaaS or enterprise software environments
- • Proven track record of shipping clean, simple, high-clarity user experiences that reduce user error and cognitive load
- • Deep intuition for UX and user behavior — ability to anticipate where users get confused and proactively eliminate friction
- • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working closely with design and engineering teams
- • Ability to work independently with high ownership, initiative, and comfort in early-stage or fast-paced startup environments
