📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end development of Jerry.ai’s AI platform and customer experiences, from roadmap definition to global rollout, focusing on automating car ownership workflows using LLMs, agents, and internal APIs.
• Partner directly with engineering teams to design prompt strategies, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails that balance latency, cost, and accuracy in high-volume production AI systems.
• Serve as the primary technical translator between engineering, design, and cross-functional teams, establishing and scaling AI platform standards and best practices across the organization.
• Drive systematic improvements in answer quality, customer satisfaction, and automation rates through rigorous A/B testing, data analysis, and iterative experimentation on AI-driven workflows.
• Collaborate with OpenAI to evaluate, test, and deploy next-generation voice models and workflow automation capabilities integrated into the ChatGPT App.
• Own the strategic direction of a $2T market segment by redefining fragmented, manual car ownership processes into seamless, AI-powered experiences that automate over 70% of inbound sales and service requests.
• Translate complex technical concepts about API design, system architecture, and LLM behavior into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders across marketing, customer support, and operations.
• Build and scale production-grade AI systems in a regulated environment, ensuring compliance, reliability, and scalability while maintaining high standards for user trust and safety.
• Conduct hands-on data analysis using SQL to validate hypotheses, uncover product insights, and measure impact on key metrics including automation rate, customer retention, and cost per interaction.
• Act as an intrinsically motivated technologist who actively follows AI model releases, experiments with custom LLM workflows, and pushes for innovation beyond incremental improvements.
• Champion a systems-thinking approach to product development, identifying interdependencies across AI modules, human-in-the-loop processes, and customer touchpoints to optimize the entire ecosystem.
• Lead by example in implementing AI platform standards, making technical tradeoffs with conviction, and prioritizing long-term scalability over short-term fixes.
• Work within a fast-paced startup environment to rapidly prototype, iterate, and ship AI features that directly impact the daily lives of over 5 million car owners.
• Define and own high-impact product metrics tied to automation efficiency, customer satisfaction, and operational cost reduction, ensuring alignment with company-wide goals.
• Engage with partners at OpenAI to co-develop new model capabilities and integrate them into Jerry.ai’s proprietary workflows, maintaining a first-mover advantage in AI-powered car management.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in technical product management or management consulting at a fast-paced startup
• Proven experience with modern LLM systems and deployment in regulated, production environments
• Demonstrated ability to navigate technical tradeoffs in AI systems (latency, cost, accuracy) and lead platform standardization
• Track record of turning complex strategic ideas into scalable, production-grade products
• Proficiency in SQL and comfort with data-driven hypothesis validation
• Intrinsic motivation and hands-on engagement with AI model releases and custom LLM workflows
