📋 Description

• Senior Product Manager - Payments (Emerging Markets) at Kraken, responsible for owning and evolving payment rails across methods and geographic regions, with a focus on high-growth and emerging markets to enable faster, easier, and more reliable access to the platform.
• Day to day: Lead partner integrations with payment processors, acquirers, and banking partners; drive improvements in authorization rates, settlement speed, and user conversion; collaborate with fraud and compliance teams; enhance UX through experimentation and customer insights; ensure scalability across consumer and pro trading apps, Kraken app, and on/off-ramps; use data to inform prioritization and track performance.
• About the team or company: Kraken is a mission-driven, fully remote crypto company with team members in 70+ countries speaking over 50 languages; the Payments & Blockchain team handles the first and last mile of every dollar moving in or out of Kraken, focusing on secure, compliant, and user-friendly payment flows for retail and institutional users.
• What the person can learn or achieve in this role: Deepen expertise in global payment systems, lead cross-functional initiatives impacting financial inclusion in emerging markets, shape product strategy for crypto accessibility, and gain experience in high-stakes, regulated fintech environments within a mission-led crypto organization.

🎯 Requirements

• 5-7+ years of product management experience with a focus on payments, fintech, or financial infrastructure, ideally from a high-growth fintech or technology business
• Deep domain expertise in payment systems and rails, including bank transfers, card networks, and/or alternative payment methods, with experience in emerging or high-growth markets a strong plus
• Direct experience with payment rails in emerging or high-growth markets (e.g. UPI, IMPS, IPI/FTS, local card schemes, or regional Open Banking frameworks)
• Experience working with third-party payment providers and API integrations end-to-end, from partner selection and due diligence through to integration and go-live
• Experience working on both backend systems (e.g. payment orchestration, API integrations) and user-facing features
• A strong customer-centric mindset, with a focus on simplicity, trust, and conversion in payment flows
