- • Own and evolve the product vision and roadmap for Redis’s document-oriented data capabilities, focusing on JSON-based data models and advanced querying features.
- • Identify and prioritize document-centric use cases where Redis delivers strong customer value across cloud and self-managed environments.
- • Translate customer needs, market research, and usage data into clear, actionable product requirements for document storage, access patterns, scalability, and reliability.
- • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to define technical designs, ensuring alignment between product goals and implementation feasibility for high-performance data systems.
- • Partner with GTM, sales, and marketing teams to position and communicate Redis’s document database capabilities to enterprise and open source users.
- • Engage directly with customers running document-centric workloads at scale to gather feedback and inform product iterations.
- • Work with the alliances team to establish and nurture relationships with key partners in the document application and data ecosystem to drive joint customer value.
- • Drive successful product launches and measure adoption, usage, and business impact of document data features.
- • Balance simplicity and flexibility in product design to meet the needs of both developer communities and enterprise customers.
- • Focus on improving developer experience through intuitive APIs, efficient data modeling, and optimized memory usage for document workloads.
- • Monitor competitive landscape and emerging trends in document databases to ensure Redis remains at the forefront of innovation.
- • Ensure product decisions align with Redis’s mission to enable faster, simpler application experiences beyond traditional caching use cases.
- • Leverage technical understanding of NoSQL systems and real-time data architectures to guide product strategy and roadmap prioritization.
- • Maintain deep awareness of open source community needs while addressing enterprise requirements for security, scalability, and support.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in software product management or equivalent experience in an enterprise organization
- • Strong understanding of document-oriented data models and application data patterns (e.g., JSON-based data, document storage and access patterns)
- • Ability to articulate both high-level concepts and detailed technical requirements concisely, verbally and in writing
- • Comfortable with code and capable of collaborating closely with engineers on technical design
- • BSc in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience
- • Experience managing database, infrastructure, or storage products
