📋 Description
- • Partner with Infrastructure, Product, and Engineering teams to analyze new or existing applications, software, or services and drive security improvements across the organization.
- • Design, develop, test, and evaluate new security controls tailored to a rapidly scaling global fintech platform.
- • Perform incident response activities including threat hunting through endpoint, network, and cloud log sources such as EDR, authentication systems, firewalls, and network traffic logs.
- • Design and implement custom detection strategies and automated workflows to support the full incident response lifecycle from detection to recovery.
- • Analyze and develop integration, testing, operations, and maintenance processes for secure systems and infrastructure.
- • Use data from diverse security tools to identify, investigate, and mitigate cyber threats across cloud, network, and application layers.
- • Design, test, implement, deploy, and maintain cybersecurity infrastructure projects including detection systems, access controls, and monitoring platforms.
- • Investigate, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents within Airwallex’s global environment, ensuring timely containment and remediation.
- • Conduct security assessments of systems and networks to identify configuration deviations, policy violations, and vulnerabilities, then support mitigation and remediation efforts.
- • Perform collection, processing, and geolocation of threat infrastructure to track, exploit, or neutralize malicious actors.
- • Execute network navigation, tactical forensic analysis, and defensive operations to secure systems and preserve digital evidence.
- • Identify, collect, examine, and preserve digital forensic evidence using analytical and investigative techniques in alignment with incident response protocols.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally to embed security into product and infrastructure design, ensuring security is built-in rather than bolted-on.
- • Apply first-principles thinking to solve complex security challenges in a high-growth startup environment with speed and rigor.
- • Leverage AI tools to enhance threat detection, automate repetitive tasks, and improve overall security posture efficiency.
- • Communicate technical security concepts and risks clearly to non-technical stakeholders to enable informed decision-making.
- • Maintain and evolve security standards and practices to align with global regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
- • Work within a globally distributed team to support security operations across multiple time zones and jurisdictions.
- • Continuously learn and adapt to emerging threats, attacker techniques, and evolving cloud-native architectures.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years working in a security engineering or incident response role within a tech company
- • In depth experience with at least one major cloud platform
- • Strong knowledge of common software development tools and infrastructure, including CI/CD tooling and pipelines
- • Comprehensive understanding of common attacker tools and techniques, how they can be detected and prevented, and ability to respond to incidents with high depth and quality of investigation
- • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical security and software concepts to a non-technical audience
- • A passion for solving the complex challenges of high-growth startups
