📋 Description

• WeLoglobal Inc., a prominent brand within the Welocalize ecosystem, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to spearhead critical localization initiatives for a key enterprise client. This role is instrumental in managing the end-to-end localization workflows for the client's product teams, ensuring that customer-facing content is accurately internationalized and localized. You will be the central point of contact, driving the seamless integration of localization processes into the client's product development lifecycle, thereby enabling their global reach and operational efficiency.
• In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for the meticulous preparation of projects, which includes a thorough review of software strings to guarantee their readiness for internationalization and localization. You will develop, analyze, and implement comprehensive project plans adhering to Welocalize's stringent project management standards, encompassing project initiation, workflow execution, and completion protocols. This involves diligently updating project statuses, managing invoice approvals, and maintaining accurate client information.
• A core aspect of your daily responsibilities will involve the creation and rigorous management of project schedules, ensuring timely delivery and resource allocation. You will also be tasked with generating precise project estimates and compelling proposals for both customer and internal stakeholder approval. Proactive risk assessment and strategic planning will be paramount to identify and mitigate potential issues before they impact project timelines or quality.
• Furthermore, you will oversee the management of Quality Assurance (QA) projects, which includes effective resource allocation, meticulous defect tracking and management, and comprehensive reporting. Collaboration will be key as you work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to achieve project and client objectives. You will also be instrumental in developing and preparing essential process documentation as required, ensuring clarity and consistency across all localization efforts.
• Operating with a significant degree of autonomy, you will manage projects with a medium level of support, demonstrating the ability to recognize and escalate issues beyond your immediate control in a timely and effective manner. A crucial part of this role involves the supervision and leadership of global teams, encompassing both internal Welocalize resources and external vendors, including direct and indirect reports. You will be empowered to identify and propose innovative workflow changes, explore automation opportunities, and suggest tooling improvements aimed at reducing manual effort and enhancing efficiency.
• Building and maintaining robust relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues across different departments and external vendors, will be a continuous focus. Equally important is cultivating and sustaining strong relationships with customer contacts at the project level, with a clear mandate to achieve measurable success in customer satisfaction ratings. Ensuring the accuracy and up-to-date status of all financial systems data is also a critical responsibility.
• You will be responsible for comprehensive reporting, including the preparation of Weekly Project Status reports, Budget vs. Actual analysis, Time Management tracking, and reporting on Client/Vendor related issues to all involved stakeholders. Maintaining project profitability through diligent margin management will be a key performance indicator. A significant part of your role will involve planning, preparing, and leading quarterly business reviews with clients, often requiring face-to-face engagement.

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s Degree OR Bachelor’s Degree and relevant industry experience in lieu of a Master’s Degree.
• Proven track record of successful Project Management, specifically managing localization or translation programs within a software/product environment, and experience in a technology-related company.
• Demonstrated experience in managing large accounts/projects and dealing with large clients, including authoring client documents such as SOWs, proposals, processes, and 'post-mortems'.
• Proven experience in active participation in the development of processes and ideas, as well as in new client sales cycles, including presentations, analysis, recommendations, and relationship development.
• Experience in managing financial budgets, including budget reconciliation and reporting, and familiarity with Smartling, Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies.
• Fluent in Business English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to lead large, diverse, virtual teams. Must be available to travel for work-related commitments and comfortable working according to the Sydney, Australia time zone (8 am-5 pm China time with a 1-hour lunch break).
