📋 Description

• • Own the quality of Smile Digital Health’s FHIR-based data liberation platform that is already live in 20+ countries and ranked #19 on Deloitte’s 2024 Technology Fast 50. Your day-to-day decisions will directly influence the reliability of systems that clinicians, researchers and patients depend on every day.
• • Design, build and maintain an automated regression suite that covers the most critical and repetitive test scenarios. You will decide what to automate, select the tooling, write the scripts and keep them evergreen so releases can ship faster without sacrificing safety.
• • Lead triage sessions with developers, product owners and customer success engineers to ensure every defect is understood, prioritized and resolved before it reaches production. You will be the voice of quality that keeps teams honest about risk and timelines.
• • Juggle multiple concurrent projects—each with its own release cadence—by creating detailed test plans, estimating effort, allocating resources and tracking execution. You will balance depth with velocity to hit aggressive deadlines without cutting corners.
• • Immerse yourself in customer context: read clinical workflows, interview end-users and translate real-world use cases into precise acceptance criteria. Your ability to think like a clinician and like an engineer will make requirements testable and solutions complete.
• • Champion continuous improvement by introducing new frameworks for performance, load, security and accessibility testing. You will measure, report and iterate so that quality becomes a shared habit, not a final gate.
• • Pair with junior QA analysts and offshore contractors to level-up their technical skills and domain knowledge. Your code reviews, lunch-and-learns and one-on-one mentoring will multiply the team’s capacity and build a culture of craftsmanship.
• • Represent QA in daily stand-ups, sprint planning and release retrospectives. You will surface risks early, negotiate scope trade-offs and ensure every story has a clear, testable definition of done.
• • Master the highly technical internals of Smile’s platform—FHIR resources, RESTful APIs, event streams, Kubernetes deployments and cloud-native security controls—so you can design tests that probe the edges and protect patient data.
• • Collaborate directly with customers during UAT, turning their feedback into reproducible test cases and feeding lessons learned back into the product backlog. You will become a trusted advisor who helps them get maximum value from their investment.
• • Contribute to regulatory and compliance documentation (HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2) by mapping test evidence to control requirements. Your meticulous records will shorten audit cycles and build trust with healthcare regulators worldwide.
